French beauty Amira Lollysa had one of the hardest journeys on this season of 90 Day Fiancé. She braved travel during COVID, was detained under horrible conditions, and was quarantined in a volatile country. Through it all, she didn’t get much support from her fiancé Andrew Kenton, or his parents, it turns out. Amira recently made a comment on an Instagram Story about her toxic experience with Andrew’s family, and it explains why she was so hesitant to have kids with her fiancé.
Andrew made several attempts to bring Amira to America before their K1 visa expired, but they were not good plans. His most recent scheme involved Amira flying to Serbia and quarantining for 14 days before continuing on to the U.S. But once Amira was in Serbia, which was exploding with riots at the time, Andrew didn’t offer her much in the way of support and got into a disagreement with Amira about having children. Andrew seemed to want to start a family right away, but Amira stood her ground and asserted that she didn’t want to have kids until their relationship was more stable.
Andrew certainly played a part in what fans assume will be the demise of the couple’s relationship, but new information from Amira places blame on his parents as well. Amira revealed to fans that in their relationship, she was put in a “position where I was being blamed for no reason and my partner would not take my side.” Amira said she was “being bullied non-stop by my in-laws,” and that was one of the main reasons she did not want to start a family with Andrew. “You can attack me but I will not allow anyone to make life hell for my kids!” she exclaimed.
Amira’s claim about being bullied tracks with what viewers have seen from Andrew and his family both on and off the show. Andrew’s mom sent Amira a mean and quite possibly racist message that had fans taking the Frenchwoman’s side. On the show, when Amira and Andrew had their fight about having children, Amira seemed a little wishy-washy. But after learning about what she went through with Andrew’s family, it makes complete sense that she would be hesitant to bring a child into that dynamic. Fans are glad that Amira stood her ground and didn’t capitulate to what Andrew wanted.
Amira clearly didn’t get much love from her future in-laws, and her man Andrew failed to back her up. Andrew low-key referenced his mother’s mean comments but did not stick up for Amira. The 90 Day Fiancé couple’s relationship seems to be doomed to fail. Without support from a partner’s family, it’s hard to maintain a successful and healthy relationship. Fans disapprove of what Amira went through, but are happy that it looks like the couple broke up. Amira’s fans want to see her find love, just not with Andrew.
