Reality star Alina Kozhevnikova, who got fired from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days due to old racist posts, revealed how it affected her relationship with Caleb Greenwood. Russian woman Alina and Arizona man Caleb lost touch after becoming Facebook friends as teens, only to reconnect on Tinder 13 years later. Alina, the first little person of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, earned praise for her sorted personality upon her debut, but things started changing when she and Caleb flew to Turkey. Not only did Alina come across as pushy with Caleb, which fetched her criticism, but throwback posts from her Facebook and Instagram accounts also showed her using the N-word and making other offensive comments.

When the first post by Alina in which she used the N-word surfaced, she claimed it was Photoshop. But soon enough, fans discovered posts in which she mocked the Muslim community, Asian people and one in which the slur was used seven times. After fans started criticizing the network, TLC axed Alina and discontinued filming. Caleb’s fate on 90 Day Fiancé, however, remained unclear. To ensure no more of Alina and Caleb’s storyline would show up on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, fans watched the end of their love story on Before the 90 Days episode 9 itself. Caleb had started to doubt Alina because she kept her live-in relationship with an ex-boyfriend a secret from him. Caleb was also honest about how she wasn’t sure if he was ready to date a partner with a disability as they ended their Turkey trip.

The final scene between Caleb and Alina suggested everything was over between them but also felt like a cliffhanger, nonetheless. Confused fans seem to have asked Alina about it since she addressed a question about Caleb on her recent YouTube AMA.  “I get where you’re coming from,” Alina told the fan as she revealed, “Let me put it that way…we still talk.” Alina said that she and Caleb are still friends. “He is supporting me, and he does have my back in some ways,” Alina added about her former romantic interest.

However, Alina admitted they don’t talk as much as they did before. She agreed that before everything happened, she was exploring a romantic relationship with Caleb and there were “romantic intentions” in their conversation. “Now it’s only like [a] friends kind of thing,” Alina confessed. She did share that she really cares about Caleb and thinks “only good things” about him. “Except that he’s so freaking goofy,” she joked. Alina thinks it was worth being on 90 Day Fiancé, even with the enormous criticism that came her way because she started realizing “many things about racism.” Learning about cancel culture made her develop a thicker skin and gave her a lot more confidence as she started dealing with negative comments.

Alina also updated fans about her friendship with Elijah, who appeared alongside her on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Alina still lives together with Elijah, and nothing has changed between them. Meanwhile, Caleb recently posted a throwback photo of Alina, Elijah and him from their Turkey adventure, which is his personal favorite. Caleb mentioned that some 90 Day Fiancé viewers keep sending him messages since they’re surprised his story with Alina wrapped up the way it did. The heart emoji Alina left on Caleb’s Instagram post did raise a few eyebrows. But it’s safe to say she’s moved on from him as she continues to look for redemption from fans.
