On the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Tell All, even more of Steven Johnston’s past and current indiscretions came to light, but Alina gave him a second chance anyway, and the 90 Day Fiancé star will likely regret that decision. Steven’s behavior is very troubling, and it’s a bad idea for Alina to give him yet another opportunity to hurt her.
Steven and Alina got a designated segment early on in the Tell All, and right away, Steven got nervous. Steven was called out by his castmates Armando Rubio and Corey Rathgeber—both of whom have Mormon backgrounds—for not following the Mormon principals he claims to live by. Steven’s ex-girlfriend was also brought out and confirmed that he has a history of talking to and hooking up with other women while in relationships. In fact, she claimed that he slept with three women on a trip to Russia when they were still together.
After being confronted with his issues, Steven admitted he has a problem and claimed he wants to change. However, he apparently hasn’t been doing much to make that happen, and Alina was disgusted to find Steven texting dirty messages to nine different women since the two of them got married in Turkey. Steven even had the gall to say he wants a threesome, though he admits that he has been considering therapy. Steven’s ex-girlfriend made an impassioned plea to Alina to think about her self worth and leave Steven, but Alina stood firm and said she’s giving him a second chance.
As much as Alina wants to give Steven a second chance, it’s definitely not a good idea for her to do so. Steven has demonstrated a clear pattern of behavior that hasn’t changed—his ex said if anything he’s gotten worse. Alina deserves better and has technically already given him a second chance, when she made him delete his social media accounts (which he still has), so really this is his third chance... that fans know of. Now, Steven knows he can get away with this behavior, because Alina keeps letting him. Steven is likely to repeat this behavior, and Alina will probably regret giving him so many chances.
Alina was hit with a deluge of disturbing information at the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Tell-All. But instead of using what she found out directly from Steven’s ex-girlfriend to make an informed decision, Alina hasn’t changed her mind about her husband. It’s understandable since they just recently got married, and no one wants to feel like a failure so early into a marriage. There are so many red flags around Steven, it’s hard to not criticize Alina for staying with him, but she’s also young and inexperienced. As much as fans want Alina to kick Steven to the curb, she won’t, and it could lead to heartbreak down the road.
