Alina asked for help from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way viewers in picking a gift for “a guy,” who fans think is the Russian star's partner Steven Johnston. Amidst Steven’s shady past involving him skoodilypooping behind Alina’s back, the 90 Day Fiancé couple got engaged on the show. The Utah-based Steven has offended TLC viewers with his many red flags. Even though they have been noticed by Alina, they have been dismissed or forgiven. Fans have been asking Alina to go back to Russia, as Steven is not worth the 21-year-old's time. But Alina has given a clue that she and Steven are still together with her cryptic Instagram post.
Although Steven’s proposal was elaborate and borderline romantic, fans could only criticize Alina for saying yes to him and accepting all his flaws. With their tourist visas in Turkey soon expiring, Steven and Alina will have to get married fast. In the past, Steven proved he’s not ready for marriage and didn’t even think his and Alina’s relationship was “exclusive” until he moved to Antalya with her. On a recent 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way episode, Alina broached the topic of planning a wedding soon. But in typical Steven fashion, he claimed he needed more time to get to know Alina and doubted her commitment to getting baptized.
As the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3 draws to an end, Steven and Alina’s storyline will surely revolve around whether or not they got married and are a happy couple. Still, Alina may have killed the suspense by asking her Instagram followers for gift ideas for Steven’s upcoming birthday. "It’s so unfair that it’s so easy to buy a girl’s present and not easy to buy a present for guys,” Alina wrote in the caption for a new selfie. “Any idea for a good present for a guy? 🎁🕵🏻” she asked but not before adding the hashtag, “#bestpresentever.” While Alina did not reveal if fans were choosing a birthday present for Steven, his own IG profile states his birthday is on November 28.
“B-day hike with my baby❤️🏔” Steven wrote in his own post from 2020, indicating that even then, he and Alina were happy and together. A year later, Alina asking for gift suggestions for the man they want her to leave desperately saddened a lot of 90 Day Fiancé viewers. “A plane ticket home for him because you deserve so much better ❤️❤️❤️” was one fan’s gift recommendation for Steven. Someone else suggested, “Any liquor! 😉😉😉😉," taking a dig at Steven spitting out his wine during an older episode. “Yes, a book on how to stop talking like a child and act like a man with huge responsibilities 😂,” wrote a different fan.
Meanwhile, one 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way viewer joked, “You guys have to respect she married the dude, stop hating!” before adding Alina should get Steven a sports car. It cannot be confirmed if Steven and Alina have wedded and where they are located currently. But during early October, Steven accompanied Alina on a trip to Greece with her mom Anna. Alina has kept her promise to Steven by practicing Mormonism, as she’s currently a college student at BYU Pathway Worldwide. But since Steven didn’t really delete his Instagram amongst other social media, doesn’t Alina asking fans for gift ideas on a public post ruin the surprise for the birthday boy?
