Although 90 Day Fiancé season 9 received steady viewer criticism, some franchise cast members were able to redeem themselves during the season "Tell-All" episode. However, other season villains had their negative status in the franchise cemented while more cast members damaged their reputations. Overall, 90 Day Fiancé fans found that some cast members redeemed themselves while others made things far worse during the reunion special.

Franchise fans found several flaws with the seven couples on 90 Day Fiancé season 9. Many viewers called the season sluggish as many plot lines moved along slowly and lacked compelling drama. Fans felt as though some scenes and plot lines were exaggerated or scripted, while many of the problems in their relationships were repeats from other storylines in the franchise. Couples cycled through familiar issues such as prenup disagreements and friction with family. Meanwhile, the season failed to present a romantic duo worth rooting for.

Meanwhile, many fans have shared their thoughts about the televised drama online. The two-part 90 Day Fiancé season 9 Tell-All stirred up some strong feelings among viewers due to the high amount of drama it aired.

Emily Bieberly (Winner)

Emily Bieberly had a negative introduction to the franchise. While viewers sympathized with her husband, Kobe Blaise, many 90 Day Fiancé fans found Emily to be bratty, controlling, and immature. This earned her the status of the season 9 villain. However, 90DF newcomer Emily revealed a much more positive side in the "Tell-All" episode. The mother of two opened up about her children and her gratitude for her family. Emily did not lash out and came across as warm and relatable for one of the first times all season. While some other cast members behaved badly, Emily’s villain status lessened during the reunion. Many viewers later voiced that they no longer had an issue with Emily after the Tell-All.

Kara Bass (Winner)

Many cast members walk away from the 90 Day Fiancé "Tell-All" episodes with damaged reputations, but Kara Bass stepped away unscathed. Kara and her husband, Guillermo Rojer, came across as the most compatible couple with the least issues during the Tell-All. 90DF newcomer Kara revealed her pregnancy and wowed in a gorgeous green dress. She also successfully defused the bomb that TLC threw at her when they brought her ex-boyfriend onstage to try and embarrass her. Kara refused to be humiliated by her angry ex and left him looking foolish. Overall, the Tell-All served to entertain Kara.

John Mcmanus (Winner)

John Mcmanus was praised by many fans, as well as Tim and Kenny, to be the true 90 Day Fiancé season 9 Tell-All winner. The older brother of cast member Patrick Mendes did something rare for a franchise Tell-All when he owned up to his mistakes and took responsibility for his actions. John wasn’t afraid to apologize when he was wrong, but he also held his ground. John also left viewers laughing with his hilarious clap backs when an unhinged Jibri verbally attacked him and threatened John throughout the episode. John had the most iconic quote of the night when he called Jibri “sparkles” in his thick Boston accent. Many viewers found John to be the hilarious stand-out during season 9.

Jibri Bell (Loser)

While John won the night, 90 Day Fiancé fans were in agreement that Jibri was the worst part about the two-part "Tell-All" episode. Jibri wasn’t a season villain, but viewers were shocked and appalled by how erratically and immaturely he behaved during the Tell-All. Jibri accused everyone of being jealous of him and his wife, Miona Bell, and even revealed how he's estranged from his family. The reality star attacked many cast members throughout the episodes, including John and fellow 90 Day Fiancé season 9 star Ariela Weinberg. Jibri also shared his opinions on all topics, which annoyed the viewers. Many fans voiced that Jibri is desperate to be cast on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? However, fans hope that Jibri and Miona never return to TLC after his appalling behavior during the Tell-All. Jibri also seemingly embarrassed Miona, who didn't comment on his actions.

Bilal Hazziez (Loser)

Bilal Hazziez joined Emily as a 90 Day Fiancé season 9 villain. Unlike Emily, Bilal did not redeem himself during the Tell-All. Bilal had little to no support from his fellow cast members as they instead sided with his wife, Shaeeda Sween. Patrick led the cast in calling out Bilal, as Patrick labeled him a manipulative salesman. Other cast members noted that Bilal always conveniently has an answer. Meanwhile, Bilal's ex-wife shared similar concerns that Shaeeda has voiced about Bilal being obsessive and controlling. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans were shocked by Bilal’s post-show demeanor as he blankly expressed his disappointment in being negatively received while Shaeeda cried next to him. Numerous fans have labeled Bilal's behavior disturbing; however, both Bilal and Shaeeda will next appear in the upcoming season of Happily Ever After.

Mohamed Abdelhamed (Loser)

Mohamed Abdelhamed is a third 90 Day Fiancé season 9 villain alongside Emily and Bilal. His behavior at the Tell-All was largely inoffensive, and multiple viewers agreed with some things Mohamed said. The reality star even showed a bit of growth as he tried to accept American culture. However, the Tell-All ended with the shocking bombshell confirmation that Mohamed had talked to another woman after marrying Yvette Arellano and was planning to see her as soon as he got his green card. Many viewers suspected Mohamed of using his wife, and the confirmation from TLC confirmed the speculation about him. 90 Day Fiancé fans are now calling for the Egyptian native to be deported since he clearly entered into a marriage on fraudulent terms. These revelations make Mohamed one of the most controversial 90 Day Fiancé cast members of all time.
