The 90 Day Fiancé franchise is widely known for its tumultuous relationships, and the couples from season 9 have many vivid red flags. This season, viewers were introduced to five brand new couples (and one returning duo) from the popular spin-off, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Each of the pairs is followed by cameras while navigating the K-1 visa process, and fans can’t help but count the strikes against the co-stars.

For instance, 90 Day Fiancé star Kobe Blaise has had a tough time adjusting to the new culture in Kansas. He's used to being the “man of the house,” as he said on the show, and his fiancee Emily Bieberly is not one to sit idly by. In fact, after he snapped at her in the barn, telling her to “shut the **** up,” Emily was quick to let him know how inappropriate his comment was. When Kobe’s friend Temperature tried to reiterate the importance of letting Kobe take the reins, she made it clear that she didn't agree.

Clearly, Emily is a force to be reckoned with. What's interesting is that 90 Day Fiancé celebs Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre are dealing with the same issues from their past. The couple lacks trust and communication skills. Although the two are opposites, they are willing to do what they can to keep their family together. While some couples might have bright pink flags, the vibrant red flags are energetically waving in front of viewers’ eyes.

Mohamed Abdelhamed and Yve Arellano

Mohamed Abdelhamed couldn’t seem less interested in Yve Arellano, let alone their wedding. Although he claims to love Yve and gets along well with her son, Tharan, there seems to be only one thing on his mind: a Green Card. A stigma is sometimes attached to the K-1 visa, and it’s because of co-stars like Mohamed that the fiance/fiancee visa can get a bad rap. According to 90 Day Fiancé's Mohamed, dreams of an extravagant wedding are only aspirations of Yve’s, as he has a different vision. To him, it’s more important to work and visit his family in Egypt. With such a tight time frame already given for the K-1 visa process, rushing to get married doesn’t seem like the best idea.

Thaís Ramone and Patrick Mendes

Thaís Ramone was reluctant to share the news of her wedding with her father, and fans can see why. The couple does have a few red flags. For instance, strong and independent Thaís isn’t fond of Patrick Mendes’ controlling ways. Patrick also had an encounter with another woman that resulted in Thaís tracking his location. However, the biggest red flag comes more from his family than Patrick himself. 90 Day Fiancé's Thaís doesn’t get along with his nosey brother John Mendes, who enjoys putting in his two cents, even when no one asks for his input. Not to mention, the rest of his family appears to follow suit. After visiting his family in Massachusetts, it’s clear that the Mendes family is not afraid to share their opinions or suspicions.

Bilal Hazziez and Shaeeda Sween

Bilal Hazziez Shaeeda Sween 90 Day Fiancé Season 9 talking to cameras

This season’s villain title has been awarded to Bilal Hazziez, for good reason. Despite the couple being engaged, he has had a difficult time being honest about his wealth. In fact, every time they video chatted, the most that Shaeeda Sween saw was him and a white wall. Shaeeda had no real sense of how much money he had, but 90 Day Fiancé's Bilal was still convinced that she was a gold digger. As a result, he played a “harmless prank,” where he convinced his fiancee that he worked in an unmarked white van, and lived in his rundown, shack-like childhood home. Unfortunately, the antics didn't end there. On a romantic date, he brought up a prenuptial agreement. Now, there are rumors that the mishap with Shaeeda’s wedding dress is another tasteless hoax.

In the end, relationships aren’t perfect. It takes two imperfect people who are willing to work on their imperfections together. However, some of these couples appear to struggle with compromise. For instance, Shaeeda seems like an easygoing woman who’s unafraid of change, and able to endure pain. Meanwhile, Bilal has a difficult time when a vase is out of place. Overall, there are a few episodes left in the season, and viewers are eager to see where that leaves the riotous 90 Day Fiancé couples.
