What happened to Emily and Sasha Larin from 90 Day Fiancé? The randy Russian personal trainer and his Pacific Northwestern bride may have had a sexy courtship, but their marriage brought a number of rude awakenings.

Fans of the show first met the couple during 90 Day Fiancé season 7. Bright-eyed Emily was extremely pregnant and had fears about giving birth to her child in Russia, which is Sasha's country. She expressed concerns about not having her family around, as well as going without the American amenities she thought would be available to her during childbirth. Emily then told the story of how she and Sasha met. Emily was in the country on business. She had no friends and could barely speak with language. For fun, Emily took to the local gym to work out and enjoy some human connection. That's where she met (and struck up a friendship with) Sasha. Although there was no blatant admission at the time, it's been intimated that the 90 Day Fiancé couple's relationship was slightly inappropriate, considering Sasha was still married to his second wife. He eventually broke it off with her and started seeing Emily on a steady basis. Sasha proposed to Emily and she became pregnant. They discussed Emily staying with him in Russia while some final details were ironed out pertaining to his son from a previous marriage. However, not everyone was on board with that plan. Emily's sister Betsy was not thrilled with Sasha, as she perceived him as selfish.

One Reddit user directed a comment to Betsey about Emily: "I feel once you have a conversation with your sister about your doubt regarding her fiance/baby daddy and she still wants to marry the dude, you need to let it go. No need to be negative all the time and question her decisions. Just like there is no need for everyone to question her food choices. Both are grown women making their own decisions. They were warned once, if they crash and burn."

Emily continued to stand by her man, despite the icy reception her mother and sister gave him once he arrived in the U.S. Sasha's track record isn't exactly conducive to them feeling comfortable about his and Emily's marriage. After all, it was Sasha's ex-wife who told viewers the story of how Sasha got bored with wife number one and threw her over, only to turn around and do the same thing to his second wife for Emily. Despite these issues, as of April 2020, this couple is still going strong, while facing the pandemic and naysayers. Sasha told ET Online that things between him and Emily "have never been better." There are also no reports of any suspiciously pretty women befriending Sasha now that he's in the United States.

Given the enormous sacrifices that Sasha made to move to the United States with Emily, it's good to see that the 90 Day Fiancé duo is still together and going strong. Was it right of him to leave his previous marriage and family for a shot at the good life in America? That remains to be seen. However, Sasha felt that by rolling the dice, he and Emily could be happy together. It seems like that wish is paying off. Although the current COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the rules of the K-1 visa, are robbing Sasha of his ability to build his fitness empire, with a little discipline, he should be able to get back on track. For now, he should focus on enjoying the time he gets to spend with his son David. Right now, he's being given a unique opportunity to parent him full-time. Maybe by the time TLC delivers its next check-in with this 90 Day Fiancé couple, Sasha will be closer to building that fitness empire he's so excited about.
