90 Day Fiancé star Natalie Mordovtseva’s storylines in the franchise often have a scripted feel. The 36-year-old Ukrainian beauty is a well-known name, mostly due to her reality TV relationship with Mike Youngquist, whom she’d met via mutual friends. Natalie’s relationship was turbulent, from the time she was in Kyiv, Ukraine to her stint in Sequim, Washington. She left Mike within a year to move to Florida, so she could become a model. To date, Natalie has been a part of many 90DF spin-offs. It's easy to wonder if Natalie and Mike are even a real couple, because Natalie has owned up to creating elements of their love story.

With a professional acting background, and a desire to become a Hollywood star, 90 Day Fiancé's Natalie Mordovtseva is undoubtedly a great actress. Frequently, her antics in the franchise have been confusing. Natalie may be genuine, but could also be playing a part to remain famous. To top it all off, Natalie’s bewildering statements add fuel to the fire, making it more likely that her franchise scenes are staged. There have been plenty of times when it seemed like Natalie was less than authentic onscreen.

5 90 Day Fiancé Couple Natalie & Mike’s Fake Fights

In December 2020, 90 Day Fiancé fans caught Natalie and Mike in what appeared to be a lie. Her seeming falsehood was revealed during an episode of 90 Day Fiancé season 8. Mike took Natalie on a drive to show her his, “small city,” which she disliked. “I don’t feel like it’s going to be fine,” she said. She got out of Mike’s truck, and while Natalie was shown walking away, she was wearing mid-calf boots in black. Then, the scene showed Natalie in a pair of ankle-length Uggs. “Producers run the show and basically goes how they want it,” wrote a fan on a post by @90dayrando, who provided screenshots.

A similar editing goof happened during Mike and Natalie’s segment in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6. The scene in question featured the controversial Natalie taking Mike’s truck to the hospital for her nose surgery. She did a bad job of parking it (via @90daycouple.) A frustrated Mike arrived there, and decided to drive away to teach Natalie a lesson. Then, he had a change of heart, and somehow parked the truck in the exact same way. As if by magic, the vehicle ended up in the same spot.

4 Natalie Admits 90 Day: The Single Life Plot With Mike Was ‘Not True

Natalie’s reunion with Mike (and a scene of them passionately hugging) was one of the highlights of the 90 Day: The Single Life season 3 trailer. It was finally available to watch it in the season finale, and it was worth the wait for many reasons. Natalie claimed Mike had helped her mother financially during the Russia-Ukraine war. After learning about his good deed, Natalie rekindled her feelings for Mike. She was thinking of going back to him, and even said “I love you” to Mike while chatting with him at his Sequim farm.

Natalie had supposedly seen Mike in person a year after she’d stormed off from his trailer with her now absent friend, Julia. However, according to a December 2022 post by @kikiandkibbitz, Natalie revealed that it was all scripted, and via a Cameo video for a fan, she stated that the showcased events weren’t close to reality. Natalie said, “some of the things are not true” in her Single Life story with Mike, where he, “all of a sudden came back” into her life. 90 Day Fiancé star Natalie confessed, “the truth is he was refusing to shoot” but added, “me and Michael we never stop actually talking.

3 90DF's Natalie Wants To Be On The Bachelorette With Josh Seiter

Side by side image of 90 Day Fiancé star Natalie Mordovtseva and Josh Seiter

Natalie's desire to stay relevant took her to Josh Seiter’s inbox, although she knew about his notoriety. Josh has been blasted on Instagram by cast members (including Cassia Tavares and Rose Vega) for trying to get friendly with them, after having apparently dated Yolanda Leak and Karine Martins. That didn’t stop Natalie from responding to Josh’s DMs. IG blogger @90daydaily shared several screenshots of a chat between Natalie and Josh. One of Natalie’s messages was, “Do I think they will cast me for bachelorette. I want.” She bragged about having, “half million of viewers,” and admitted that she was shooting for a new season of 90 Day: The Single Life.

However, that’s not all, as Josh reminded Natalie that she has a boyfriend. Natalie asked him, “Can’t I fake” to get, “access to the network,” while confessing that she was, “planning” to live with her boyfriend Josh in Los Angeles after moving there. While referring to herself as “one of the top stars” of 90 Day Fiancé, she claimed she brings the ratings. She also said that she was still married, meaning Mike declaring that he was divorcing Natalie was a sham.

2 90 Day Fiancé's Natalie's BF Josh Is Living With His Real Partner Callie

Natalie Mordovtseva from 90 Day Fiancé

The same Instagram reporter @90daydaily found more possible evidence to prove that Natalie is a part of a concocted storyline for reality TV fame, even in 90 Day: The Single Life. Natalie and Josh had been dating for over a year when they filmed the season 3 Tell-All in New York. However, as per the blogger @90daydaily, Josh has had a girlfriend all along. Josh is the CEO of his modeling agency, Preview Models, and a co-worker, Callie Tagle, is supposedly his, “real and current girlfriend.” Josh and Callie have reportedly been dating for over five years now, and may live in a home together in Scottsdale, Arizona. The two don’t follow each other on Instagram or Facebook, perhaps to hide their relationship while Josh romances Natalie on TV.

However, comments on one of Callie’s posts from June 2021 show Josh saying, “Damn who’s girl?,” and Callie replying with a kissing emoji and, “yours.” It is assumed that Callie allowed 90 Day Fiancé star Josh to go on TV back in 2021, which suggests that they have an agreement between them, so he could "fake date" the villain Natalie on 90 Day Fiancé. Although Natalie and Josh are clearly in a fake relationship, they are being given more opportunities by TLC. “TLC doesn't care and will continue showing this sham, this is more of a scam than Soulja Boy lol Natalie wins in all of this since she’s already been casted for another show,” noted an annoyed fan.

1 "Drama Sells The Best," 90DF's Natalie Tells A Fan

In September 2022, Natalie began to spill quite a few fascinating secrets about her storyline, via several comments under a 90 Day Fiancé Instagram post that is deleted now. These very juicy statements about the 90 Day Fiancé couple Natalie and Josh were interesting. She discussed her three failed marriages in the video, and fans spoke about Natalie’s, “craziness” being the reason for her romantic woes. However, Natalie didn’t take too kindly to the criticism, and jumped right into the comments to defend herself. She wrote things such as, “dear if I act normal I won’t be on a tv show… just saying” and, “have you seen who usually stays???

Natalie claimed she was just doing her job, which is to, “create and entertain” to make a living. She shockingly stated, “I have no interest in non of my haters, but pity … because they follow the story I created, and I get paid for it.” Natalie tried to make her critics understand that it’s their hate which makes her, “very rich,” and that her interactions with her fans raise her, “ratings.” One of Natalie’s controversial Instagram comments was about how she’s, “doing a show” and, “drama sells best,” In her opinion, if 90 Day Fiancé viewer want to watch “real life,” they should switch on the news,
