90 Day Fiancé star Big Ed Brown may want his partner Liz Woods to lose weight, but some fans don't think that his own weight loss journey has been successful. The 56-year-old man, who was with Rose Vega in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, decided to undergo a fitness transformation after their split. With a new body (and the desire to find another young girlfriend), Big Ed appeared in 90 Day: The Single Life. On that show, he began dating Liz, a restaurant manager from San Diego. As expected, Big Ed and Liz’s relationship didn’t last for long, and he seemingly worked out in order to drop 25 pounds, before getting back together with her again.

During an episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 7, Liz told a friend about how 90 Day Fiancé's Big Ed pointed at her old photos, and commented on how nice it would be if she went back to her old weight. The body image issues that Big Ed ingrained in Liz’s mind made her sign up for a dance class, when she and Big Ed had broken up for six months. Liz ended up losing several pounds, but, just as her friend did, Liz’s fans slammed Big Ed for being controlling, due to his own insecurities. The consensus is that he was in no condition to ask her to lose weight, and some fans still think his fitness makeover is underwhelming.
