7th Heaven, a television series that was on between 1996 and 2007, focused on the Camden family. There were the parents, Eric, a reverend, and Annie, a supermom. There were, at first, five children: Matt, Mary, Lucy, Simon, and Ruthie. There was a dog, Happy. And later, there were twin boys added into the mix, named Sam and David.

Over the years, so many different friends, family members, strangers in need of help, and significant others went in and out of the Camden household. It is time to look back and some, such as the five couples fans loved and the five that just didn’t make sense.

Fans Loved: Eric & Annie

Of course, from the beginning, most viewers of this show loved, respected, and admired Eric and Annie. They were not perfect, but they work hard to set good examples for their kids and for others.

They were both leaders who gave great advice, as well as pillars in their community. Some children who grew up watching this show probably thought that when it came to TV parents, it couldn’t get much better than these two!

Didn’t Get/Like: Ruthie & T-Bone

Ruthie Camden 7th heaven t-bone tattoo

Ruthie was the baby of the family for many years, yet she had to watch all of her older siblings go on dates, get engaged, have kids of their own, and get married. Therefore, she went through a real rebellious state, setting up to prove that she wasn’t a little girl any longer.

During the peak of this, she met a guy named T-Bone. She got a tattoo of his name. He gave her a promise ring. And after graduating from high school, she told her parents that she was going to travel the world with him.

Fans Loved: Matt & Heather

As the oldest Camden kid and an attractive flirt, Matt had several relationships within this story. Early on, he fell for a girl named Heather Cain, who was deaf. They had an on-again, off-again relationship, as Matt kept running into her and kept being reminded of his feelings for her.

In the end, though, he married Sarah Glass, with whom he had twins.

Didn’t Get/Like: Simon & Cecilia & Sandy & Martin

Some very notable stars were on 7th Heaven, such as Haylie Duff, who played Sandy Jameson, and Ashlee Simpson, who played Cecilia Smith. Both of these characters dated both Simon and Martin, and it all got very messy and complicated.

Sandy got pregnant, and at one point, she had to talk to Simon, presumably, about the baby's paternity. Meanwhile, Cecilia started spending so much time at the Camdens that the twins said she was more fun than mommy. These two really were not the best part of this series.

Fans Loved: Mary & Wilson

Another relationship from the early days would be the one Mary had with Wilson West; he was portrayed by Andrew Keegan, he had a son named Billy, and he was so in love with Mary that the two discussed getting married.

When the story wrapped up, he ended up with Corey Conway, who used to play basketball with Mary, while the oldest Camden daughter married Carlos Rivera and had children with him.

Didn’t Get/Like: Simon & Georgia

7th heaven simon and georgia

Simon had at least one other less-than-ideal girlfriend: Georgia Huffington. While dating her during college, he ended up on disciplinary probation, as he was skipping class to hook up with her.

He did realize that he was using her as a distraction, since earlier in the show, he had accidentally killed a classmate in a car wreck.

Fans Loved: Lucy & Kevin

7th heaven kevin and lucy

One of the Camden kiddos followed in her parents’ footsteps; Lucy became a reverend, and she was a mom who could do it all. Plus, she married a nice guy that her family and fans seemed to really like.

Yes, Lucy tied the knot with a police officer named Kevin Kinkirk, and they had a daughter named Savannah.

Didn’t Get/Like: Lucy & Jimmy Moon

7th heaven jimmy moon

Before settling down with a happily ever after, however, a young Lucy got her first boyfriend, Jimmy Moon. He broke up with her because she changed the color of her hair.

She then cried all the time, jealous of his new relationship. And he ended up having a drug problem, which resulted in Lucy being arrested!

Fans Loved: Simon & Deena

7th heaven deena and simon

Ah, young love… One of the cuter relationships on this family-friendly television series existed between Simon and Deena Stewart.

They were together in junior high and had some ups and downs, as Simon learned that she had had leukemia and as they gave each other love bites!

Didn’t Get/Like: Simon & Rose

7th heaven rose and simon

Perhaps the worst significant other on 7th Heaven was Rose Taylor. She was another one of Simon’s girlfriends, and she was bossy, rude, and selfish. She moved the relationship along far too quickly, even if/when Simon tried to speak up or discuss things with her.

No one in the family and surely no one watching liked this girl, and thankfully, right at the last minute, they did not go through with their wedding.
