7th Heaven came on The WB for ten seasons, and its final season aired on The CW between September 2006 and May 2007. This feel-good, family-friendly television series focused on the Camdens, with their father as a preacher and with seven biological kids in the family.

With all the members of this group and their friends, significant others, and peers, there were so many varying personality traits, attitudes, and overall vibes shown off within this story. And based on those traits and interests and skills, some main characters from this TV show have been sorted, down below, into Harry Potter's Hogwarts houses!

Eric Camden - Gryffindor

First up is Stephen Collins’ character. As the leader of the household, a pillar in this family’s community of Glenoak, California, and a reverend at Glen Oak Community Church, Eric Camden more than likely would have been sorted into Gryffindor.

People came to him for his sage advice all the time. Eric worked hard to make sound, safe decisions, and he was a courageous and passionate leader. These are all elements that help make up some of the best individuals in this particular, fan-favorite house.

Annie Camden - Slytherin

Eric’s wife was played by Catherine Hicks, and her name was Annie Camden. She really was a supermom, and some of her traits make it seem like she would have ended up as a Slytherin

As a stay-at-home mom, Annie cooked, cleaned, did home repairs, sewed, and more. While Eric was working, she was the one breaking up fights, having heart-to-heart talks, and not hesitating to raise her voice, in order to keep everyone in line. She led by example and was focused on raising a happy and healthy family and running a warm and welcoming household.

Matt Camden - Hufflepuff

The oldest child in the Camden family was Matt, who was portrayed by Barry Watson. Some of his most notable plot points involved his numerous girlfriends over the years and his protective nature as the older brother of six other kiddos.

Whether it came to his immediate family or a stranger he had just met, Matt was very devoted and dependable. He was also a fun-loving and nice guy who would have fit in well as a Hufflepuff. These types are helpful and friendly, which were two of this character's strongest traits.

Mary Camden - Slytherin

Jessica Biel was in this show, too, as Mary Camden. One of her greatest strengths was her athleticism, as she was a basketball player who dreamed of playing in the WNBA. However, she had knee surgery, and then she made some questionable decisions. Later, she received a proposal from her high school boyfriend, Wilson, and then ended up having twin daughters with Carlos.

There is a chance that Mary would have found herself in Slytherin, as well; no matter her goals, she was determined, and no matter what struggles she faced, she thought creatively to overcome them. Plus, while in high school, she was a leader, like most in this house usually are.

Lucy Camden - Gryffindor

Up next is Lucy Camden, played by Beverley Mitchell. Like her mother, Lucy was a jack-of-all-trades who could do home repair, painting, and maintenance; like her father, she became a reverend, too. Lucy was also the most emotional member of the family, with a sensitive side.

Due to her passionate feelings and her brave and bold life choices, Lucy may have been sorted into Gryffindor’s house. While people who end up here are leaders, like Lucy, they can also be quite in tune with their emotional sides.

Simon Camden - Gryffindor

While none of these characters were perfect, Simon Camden, David Gallagher’s character, seemed to always try and do the right thing. He did have a rough patch in college, as he ended up on disciplinary probation since he was skipping classes to sleep with his girlfriend. This was a coping mechanism he used in order to deal with the fact that he accidentally killed a classmate in a car wreck.

Simon's valiant efforts and polite ways surely would have earned him a spot as a Gryffindor. Deep down and overall, he was a really good guy.

Ruthie Camden - Slytherin

For years, the baby of the family was Ruthie Camden, before the twins, Sam and David, came along. Played by Mackenzie Rosman, this character was often found playing pranks, getting into everyone's business, and doing anything it took, no matter what, to prove she wasn’t a little girl anymore. For instance, she got a tattoo that read T-Bone, which was the name of a guy she liked.

Ruthie's tricky and crafty moves, combined with her rebellious streak, make it seem like she could have been sorted into Slytherin. Who would have thought that there were so many members of this nice and religious household who could have possibly been sorted into this snake-centered house?

Sam & David - Slytherin

In season 3, even more kiddos were added to the Camden family, as Annie gave birth to twin boys, Sam and David. They were babies and toddlers on this show, but they still seemed to get in a good amount of trouble.

They stole money, got into trouble at school, and tricked their family members in order to get things like secrets or candy. Yes, Sam and David may have been some more characters to end up as Slytherins, with their tricky and determined ways.

Kevin Kinkirk - Gryffindor

There were a good amount of significant others featured on this series, but one of them appeared more than others and stuck around: Kevin Kinkirk.

Kevin was a police officer who ended up marrying and having a baby girl with Lucy, and he would have certainly been sorted into Gryffindor. He worked to protect the public and his loved ones, and he was a genuinely sweet and courageous man.

Happy The Dog - Hufflepuff

Ruthie Camden and Happy

There is one more member of this group that must be mentioned. Dogs are known for being loyal pals that are always there to comfort and entertain, and Happy was one of the best TV pets of all time.

So, of course, this pet, played by a real dog named Happy, would have been a great fit for Hufflepuff. Everyone in the house would be delighted to have Happy.
