The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan is an electric vehicle wearing a stylish design that should challenge other electric sedans in the market. For many years, Mercedes-Benz has rolled out models characterized by impressive looks, new-age technologies and generous power outputs. Given the increasing number of EVs in the automobile industry today, it's unsurprising that an electric sedan from the German automaker has finally arrived. The EQS sedan is available in two models: the EQS 450+ and the 4Matic option EQS 580. Range, price, and horsepower are the primary differences.

When compared with electric sedans like the Lucid Motors Air and Tesla Model S, the Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan is outmatched in terms of EV range. However, other EV models from German competitors like the Porsche Taycan style and Audi e-tron stand no chance when compared with Mercedes-Benz's flagship electric sedan. The sedan features a striking interior design, announcing the finest of Mercedes-Benz technologies. The EQS sedan is a perfect combination of Mercedes-Benz's long-standing passion for luxury and sublime EV features.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the EQS has a starting price of $102,310, excluding additional fees like transportation and handling, destination charges, insurance and more. This price applies to the 450+ model, which offers up to 329 hp and 417 lb-ft of torque. The 450+ can hit 60 mph from zero within 5.9 seconds and is available in fascinating colors like Polar White and Cirrus Silver metallic. The 450+ can accommodate five passengers and offers 23-63 cu-ft of cargo storage. Mercedes-Benz made the 450+ model available in three different trim levels, namely: Premium ($102,310), Exclusive ($105,710) and Pinnacle Trim (108,510). The EQS 580 4Matic model sells from $125,900 upward, additional charges excluded. Power is increased to 516 hp and 631 lb-ft of torque using a twin-electric motor system called Permanently Excited Synchronous (PSM). Seating is the same as the 450+, with a five-passenger capacity. However, the 4Matic model can race up to 60 mph within 4.1 seconds. While the 450+ runs with a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) drive configuration, the 4Matic gets a 4MATIC® all-wheel-drive system with torque shift. Three trims are available for the 4Matic model, with prices ranging from $125,900 to $131,050.
