While most people are probably ready to say "good riddance" to 2017 and ring in the New Year already, there's still some quality television to enjoy before it is time to sing 'Auld Lang Syne'. After that, however, you're free to welcome all the new and returning TV shows that'll be hitting your screens in 2018. There's plenty to look forward to, as we whittle away the winter and excuse a little extra time in front of the flat screen on account of how short the days are. But before the holidays are over, fans get to look forward to a new Doctor Who, some stylish thuggery with the premiere of Peaky Blinders season 4, and the return of the techno-fueled nightmare that is Black Mirror on Netflix. After that, though, it's full steam ahead, with the return of The CW's Arrowverse lineup, the premiere of Black Lightning, new episodes of The X-Files, as well as the series premieres of L.A. to Vegas, and 9-1-1. February is also surprisingly busy with the premiere of Netflix's impressive looking Altered Carbon, as well as the return of Strike Back, The Tick, and Ash vs. Evil Dead.Related: Strike Back Season 5 Trailer Introduces You to the New TeamAll in all, it's going to be a busy beginning of the year for TV fans, as networks, cable channels, and streaming services all compete for your time.
