The Jersey Shore cast decided to unite in Washington D.C. in support of getting The Situation released from prison. The cast has put on their protesting shoes and took to the streets of the nation's capital.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino” has been behind bars since he was sentenced in October 2018 for tax evasion and trying to defraud the United States government. He was accused of not properly paying taxes on $8.9 million between the years of 2010 to 2012.  In January of 2018, Sorrentino pleaded guilty to the charges against him and was sentenced to eight months in prison with two years of supervised release. Sorrentino, who was known for his outrageous behavior - such as putting his head through a cement wall due on the hit MTV reality show - had turned his life around by attending rehab and giving back to the counseling world that once helped him. Even though he had tried to better himself before being arrested, the court also ordered him to perform 500 community service hours once he is released.

The Jersey Shore girls took to the streets of Washington D.C. to try and help their beloved roommate gain an early release from prison. With Sorrentino so close to finishing his eight months sentence, Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley, Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, Denna Cortese, and Angelina Pivarnick tried using their celebrity status for good. People reported that the Jersey girls wore matching T-Shirts reading “Free Sitch” while posing for selfies in front of the White House. The reality stars even made picket signs asking President Trump if they could come in for dinner in an effort to draw attention to their cause.

The cast of Jersey Shore has remained a close-knit family, even though the original show ended seven years ago. Since Sorrentino reported to jail on January 15 in Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York, the roommates have been a huge support system for him. DJ Pauly D had a recent visit with Sorrentino and gave a glowing report on his friend. Pauly D reported that Sorrentino was keeping his spirits high, exercising, and really focusing on himself. Sorrentino is scheduled to be released sometime in September.

While away, The Situation had the full support of his fellow Jersey Shore cast members behind him, and it won’t be long before the reality star is free, having paid his debt. Fans will be happy to know that the cast will be ready to throw the biggest bash yet in honor of Sorrentino, possibly even having a funfetti cake waiting for him upon his arrival.
