Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar became famous in the 2000s for their plethora of children, each given names that begin with "J." The family's show concluded with 19 kids in 2015, but some of the Duggars soon moved on to Counting On, also on TLC.

There are a few other Duggar-size families out there, and a number of them have agreed to live life on camera. TLC and other networks also introduce parents who have multiples, occasionally even multiple multiples. These ten shows are great for those who liked 19 Kids and Counting.

Counting On

Duggar Sisters

Counting On is the obvious choice for fans of 19 Kids and Counting because it is a spin-off of the original Arkansas series. After the Duggar family scandal of 2015, the older girls were given a chance to speak out on the situation and take back the narrative.

The show quickly evolved into a less tearful, more regular schedule of events. Now, it features the usual courtships, weddings, babies, and huge family events that fans know and love. The older siblings are still the central focus, but the younger ones appear here and there like they did in the old days.

Bringing Up Bates

Bringing Up Bates

The Duggars' friends in Tennessee, the Bates family, got their own show on TLC in 2012, but it didn't last very long. They then went to UPTV in 2015 for Bringing Up Bates, which still airs new episodes. Like the Duggars, Gil and Kelly Jo Bates have nineteen children, and most of the older ones are married with children. The show obviously has similarities to the Duggars' programs, but the Bates kids have other interests, too. A number of them are more college and career-focused than people would expect. Viewers with streaming can try out the first couple of seasons on Tubi and buy additional episodes on Amazon Prime.

Outdaughtered

Outdaughtered

Outdaughtered is a TLC show which first aired in 2016 and focuses on the family of Adam and Danielle Busby. The Texas parents first had their daughter Blayke in 2011, and they birthed the first set of all-girl quintuplets in the United States in 2015. The quints are adorable, and their names are Hazel, Riley, Parker, Ava, and Olivia.

16 Kids And Counting

16 Kids and Counting

No, this one is not a previous iteration of the Duggars. Instead, 16 Kids and Counting was a series about the largest families in Great Britain, notably including the Radfords, the Lewises, and the Salims. The Radford family is now up to 22 children! While there are more recent specials on the Radfords, 16 Kids and Counting (2013) is available for free on Tubi and offers an interesting look at what big families are like in the UK.

Doubling Down With The Derricos

Doubling Down with the Derricos

Deon and Karen Derrico of Doubling Down with the Derricos have one of the best families on TLC. They live in the Las Vegas, Nevada area and have fourteen children. Their two eldest children are "singletons," Darian and Derrick. Then there are twins Dallas and Denver; next are the quintuplets: Daician, Daiten, Deniko, Dariz, Deonee. Diez and Dior are called "triplins" in memory of their brother who passed away after birth (Carter). Last are the newest additions, triplets Dawsyn, Dyver, and De'Aren. The house is full of love, laughter, music, faith, and great food.

Sweet Home Sextuplets

Sweet Home Sextuplets

Sweet Home Sextuplets on TLC follows the incredible story of the Waldrop sextuplets, who were born prematurely at only thirty weeks' gestation in 2017. The Alabama family began with parents Courtney and Eric, who then had one son in 2008 and twin boys in 2012.

The nine kids are known for their unique names, many of which evoke nature. From the older boys to the sextuplets, they are Saylor, Wales, Bridge, Rayne, Rivers, Rawlings, Tag, Blu, and Layke. While the busy parents don't have much time to themselves, they have a beautiful family and seem to love every moment.

Growing Up McGhee

Growing Up McGhee

Growing up McGhee ran from 2016 to 2017 on UPTV a few years after Six Little McGhees on OWN. Rozonno and Mia McGhee struggled to conceive in the decade before their sextuplets were born. The parents run a carpet and upholstery cleaning business in Columbus, Ohio. Their UP show detailed their changing lives with Elijah, Madison, Olivia, Josiah, Isaac, and Rozonno, Jr. starting school. Try out the first season on Tubi.

Hodges Half Dozen

Hodges Half Dozen TLC

Hodges Half Dozen is no longer on TLC, but those who enjoy learning about families with multiples should check it out online. The series aired briefly in 2017, following Liz and Daniel Hodges from parenting one child (Rowan) to parenting six (Liam, Connell, Teagan, Dillon, and Nolan). After the show ended, Connell tragically died of meningitis.

Welcome To Plathville

The Plath Family from Welcome to Plathville

Viewers might enjoy a twist on the Duggar way of life with the Plath family. Welcome to Plathville first aired in 2019 and has a second season on the way. Barry and Kim Plath keep their children quite insulated from the outside world in rural Georgia. There are nine kids in total, with two already married and out of the house. Ethan, Hosanna, Micah, Moriah, Lydia, Isaac, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy have all been raised to avoid soda, technology, and mainstream media, but that doesn't stop some of them from experiencing those things.

Alaskan Bush People

Alaskan Bush People

Alaskan Bush People premiered on the Discovery Channel in 2014 and aired its season twelve finale episode in October of 2020. The show is about the Browns, a family living on the Copper River in south-central Alaska. Billy and Ami have seven kids named Snowbird, Rain, Noah, Solomon/Bear, Joshua/Bam Bam, Matthew, and Gabriel/Gabe. This family is even more isolated than the Plaths, going many months out of the year without seeing outsiders. The Browns speak their own dialect and call themselves "the wolf pack."
