Here's where to spot Brie Larson in an early role in 13 Going On 30. This comedy from 2004 followed the body swap genre formula, with other examples including Tom Hanks' Big, Freaky Friday and Zac Efron's 17 Again. 13 Going On 30 follows teenager Jenna, who's desperate wish to become 30 suddenly comes true, but she learns that being a grown-up wasn't the magical solution to her problems that she hoped.

13 Going On 30 starred Jennifer Garner as the grown Jenna, with the actress making the transition to movies following her breakout park on hit spy show Alias. Following her role as Elektra in 2003's Daredevil, Garner got a chance to show her comic chops with 13 Going On 30 and turned in a very likable performance. The movie was a solid success upon release and has since become a cult favorite. It also featured a supporting cast filled with future stars, including Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer.

Even fans of 13 Going On 30 may not realize it featured a brief appearance by a young Brie Larson. The actress had previously appeared in various movies and TV shows like Touched By An Angel prior to her role in 13 Going On 30, where she appears during an early scene as one of the "Six Chicks" clique.

This is a group of popular girls that Jenna wants to be part of, and who later come to her thirteenth birthday party where they later play a cruel prank that leads to her wish. Brie Larson only gets one line in 13 Going On 30, but her brief appearance was later noted by MCU fans. Larson would, of  course, go on to play Captain Marvel in the 2019 blockbuster of the same name and would reprise the role for Avengers: Endgame.

The latter also featured Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, and Entertainment Tonight would later blow the actor's mind by revealing to him that Brie Larson also played one of the mean girls in 13 Going On 30. It makes sense he wouldn't be aware of this connection, however, since the actors didn't share any scenes together in the movie. Following 13 Going On 30, Brie Larson would embark on a short-lived music career that included album Finally Out of P.E. before breaking through with roles on TV series United States of Tara and 2015's acclaimed drama Room, for which she won several major awards, including a BAFTA and Academy Award for Best Actress.
