1000-LB Sisters star Tammy Slaton is said to be regaining her strength weeks after being rushed to emergency for her failing health. Unfortunately, Tammy's major health issue happened right after she resumed at a weight-loss rehabilitation center. But now it seems the star, who appeared on TV to chronicle her weight loss journey, is ready to continue with her goal after surviving her health scare.

Many TV lovers rooted for the 1000-LB sisters, Amy and Tammy Slaton, when the TLC-produced show started in 2020. With her witty character, Tammy immediately stole the hearts of many, but this turned into worries after she experienced a steep decline instead of actually losing weight. Tammy's eating habit did not subside, and it made many wonder if she would ever attain her weight loss aspirations. At a point, the TV star's negative character and approach put admirers off because she became reluctant to make efforts. However, on the other hand, her younger sister, Amy, witnessed progress on her own journey, and after a while, doctors approved her bariatric surgery. Amy has since started a family as she welcomed a son in November 2020. Since the beginning of the year, Amy has been preparing to become a second-time mom, as she recently shared baby names, and gender.

According to People, there has also been some good news from Tammy, seeing that she survived a near-death experience due to her health issues. The reality star is currently on the mend and is taking her healing in strides. Her older sister, Amanda, noted that she dreaded the moment doctors informed their family of Tammy's failing health. Amanda shared, "So at this point, you know, we're facing making funeral arrangements for my little sister. I'm just sitting here thinking, Oh my god. She's been in such a bad place for so long." Amanda added that all she could think of was how Tammy "waited too long." Chris, who has made progress on his weight loss journey, recalled the incident noting that the doctors told him and his wife that Tammy's "lungs have given up, and like her body was shutting down.

Tammy Slaton in 1000-lb Sisters

While the Slatons have been experiencing different changes since season 3, fans have wondered if the show will be renewed. Many weighed in on possible circumstances surrounding a season 4 release or at least an announcement. Some felt it was typical of TLC to delay an announcement about 1000-Lb Sisters due to their past delays on older seasons. This indicates that they would probably have to wait a few more months. Others theorized that Tammy's health was a factor, and they needed to be sure if she would be able to resume filming.

In all, 1000-Lb Sisters fans believe the show is far from done because the Slatons are beginning to make tremendous milestones. From Chris preparing for his bariatric surgery, Amy about to become a second-time mom, to Tammy taking her journey seriously and surviving a health scare, it is safe to say the Slatons are coming in strong in 2022. However, will their show be renewed for a season 4? That remains to be seen.
