Tammy Slaton's harrowing weight loss journey has been the focus of 1000-lb Sisters for three years, but fans aren't sure if the reality star will or should come back for season 4. Unfortunately, Tammy ended 1000-lb Sisters season 3 on a bad note as Chris Combs revealed that his sister had to be rushed to the hospital and put into an induced coma because she lost her ability to breathe. From the precarious state of her health to her toxic relationships with her siblings, here's why fans think Tammy Slaton might not be in 1000-lb Sisters season 4.

Tammy hasn't had the easiest run in 1000-lb Sisters. In season 1, Tammy was enthusiastic about finally prioritizing her health as she and Amy Slaton-Halterman committed to qualifying for bariatric surgery. Regrettably, Tammy failed to follow through on her doctor's instructions and hadn't lost enough weight to get the green light for weight loss surgery. In 1000-lb Sisters seasons 2 and 3, Tammy continued to fall short of her weight loss goals and even put on more pounds by spending time with feeders and enablers. By the end of 1000-lb Sisters season 3, Tammy had pushed herself to the limit and has been in recovery since. Although the TV personality is teasing her return, 1000-lb Sisters fans think Tammy Slaton might not be in season 4.

Sadly for the Slaton family's followers, TLC has been slow to give an update on the status of 1000-lb Sisters season 4. Instead, Tammy has taken to her TikTok to share what she knows about the future of the 1000-lb Sisters franchise with her followers. Although she's currently in a rehabilitation center, Tammy has maintained an active social media presence which is based on fans' desire for more content from the Slaton sisters. Tammy first confessed that viewers would have to wait for season 4 to see the weight loss progress she's made in rehab, but when asked when the next season would air, Tammy confessed filming hasn't even started yet. While some fans now believe Tammy's an unreliable source, others think Tammy's condition means she won't appear in 1000-lb Sisters season 4 at all. One Reddit user theorized, "[TLC is] very likely filming [season 4] right now."

Tammy Slaton in 1000-lb Sisters

Although Tammy shared that 1000-lb Sisters season 4 has not yet begun filming, some viewers believe that the upcoming chapter of the Slaton family's story is in production but without Tammy along for the ride. Fans believe Tammy could be missing from 1000-lb Sisters season 4 because of the difficult stage of her life she's stuck in. While news of Tammy's recovery is encouraging, viewers are nervous Tammy would sign out of rehab prematurely to film 1000-lb Sisters as she had in season 3. Tammy might need to focus on losing weight in the hospital rather than filming 1000-lb Sisters. Additionally, after Tammy bullied every one of her siblings in season 3, some viewers would be happier focusing on the Slaton clan without Tammy's negative energy. A commenter suggested, "Cut Tammy out altogether and follow Amy, Chris, and the rest of the family."

Tammy has alluded to 1000-lb Sisters season 4 being just around the corner for anxious fans, but some of the Slaton family's followers don't think season 4 is in Tammy's future. Based on her current health crisis and her unpopular behavior in season 3, fans think Tammy Slaton might not be in season 4. Although it would lead to less drama, fans believe the entire Slaton family would benefit from Tammy keeping out of 1000-lb Sisters season 4.
