For months Tammy Slaton of 1,000-lb Sisters has been working on her eating habits, but fans think she may be cheating on her diet. Tammy has found it hard to stick to any healthy eating habits for the past three seasons and has yet to qualify for the gastric bypass surgery. Once again, fans are beginning to lose all hope in Tammy's weight loss journey.
After a near-death experience where her lung had collapsed, Tammy checked herself into a rehab facility in Ohio in hopes of getting back on track. She was given a trach to help her breathe and had doctors watching over her every move. For months the Kentucky native has sworn to followers that she has started to make progress. The TLC star even took a social media break in order to concentrate on her health and well-being. Now Tammy is back on TikTok and showing off her supposed weight loss, but not all of her 1,000 lb Sisters followers think she looks any different.
Tammy recently took to TikTok to share a video of herself after a fan called out her eating habits. It seems a loyal follower had accused Tammy of drinking too many soft drinks, noting that the 1,000-lb Sisters star was supposed to be losing weight, not "drinking Sprite." Tammy responded with a TikTok video of her own to defend herself. Tammy shared that she could have one soft drink as long it was a diet drink. Tammy then made a face at the haters and told them, "thank you for making me more famous." It makes sense that fans would be worried since soda is not the healthiest of drinks, but Tammy clearly knows what her diet allowed her and was happy to put disgruntled fans in their place.
The video showed Tammy still living in the rehab facility and using the trach. Even though Tammy had a filter on, it did look like she was steadily losing weight as her face was a bit smaller. During the video, Tammy stayed calm as she told off the fan and genuinely seemed unbothered by the intrusive questions. It could be that Tammy has learned to have a better relationship with food in rehab and is applying those tools to everyday life.
Along with her dieting, which looks to be a success, 1,000-lb Sisters fans also learned that Tammy has found herself a new beau. She has started dating Mikey Mooney after years of him pursuing her. Mikey has already shouted his love from the metaphorical rooftops and even visited her in Ohio. Fans are hoping Tammy keeps her eye on the prize and doesn't let a new boyfriend or soda discourage her weight loss journey.
