In 2021, Tammy officially entered the Windsor Lane Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, which is located in Ohio. During her time spent in rehab, Tammy grew very close to another patient, her future husband Caleb. Both of Tammy and Caleb were living in the medical center in order to maintain their weight and to learn about healthy living habits. Upon meeting Caleb, the 1000-lb Sisters star shared with Us Weekly that Caleb treated her "differently" while in rehab.

In November 2022, Tammy surprisingly announced that she and Caleb were married during an intimate ceremony within the rehab center. She shared that the two were surrounded by their family and the nurses who were caring for them for the last few months. Amy acted as Tammy's bridesmaid and fully supported the marriage. Tammy has also given Caleb credit for turning her life around, as he has been a great support to her.
1000-lb Sisters star Tammy was discharged from the Ohio rehab center in January. She has now moved back home to her house in Kentucky, but Caleb has still remained in Ohio. Since the couple's wedding, there is no update with Tammy and Caleb together yet, but it is assumed that it may still be hard for Tammy to drive the few hours alone in a car to see him. Hopefully, Tammy's marriage works out for her and she and Caleb will remain happy together.
