For three seasons, 1000-lb Sisters viewers have watched Tammy Slaton throw tantrums, but some are realizing they may not all be her fault. Tammy's extra weight has caused her to go into a depression many times due to her health issues. She often lashes out at those closest to her, giving her a bad reputation.

TLC viewers have watched Tammy fail to keep up her end of the deal when it comes to losing the weight necessary to qualify for gastric bypass surgery. It can be argued that half the show's current appeal is watching Tammy self sabotage, but many viewers are just getting tired of her refusing to help herself. While it is apparent that Tammy is continuously upset with her current situation, her outbursts are causing her more harm than good. Those who watch the show would like to see Tammy take responsibility and work through her anger, but others are seeing another side that may show Tammy isn't all to blame for her misfortune.

Die-hard 1000-lb Sisters viewers feel most of Tammy's outbursts are a mixture of two things: editing and her declining health. Tammy's escalating behavior over the last three seasons makes more sense when audiences think of the bigger picture. Due to her extreme weight gain, Tammy's entire body is uncomfortable, and she is in constant and chronic pain. This would put anyone in a bad mood. Tammy also was put in the hospital due to carbon monoxide poisoning. CO2 poisoning would have caused Tammy to suffer from headaches, dizziness, weakness in general, upset stomach, chest pain, and confusion, not to mention flu-like symptoms. Frankly, Tammy is lucky she didn't die.

Even though Tammy has lived most of her life overweight, these last few years of living as morbidly obese have put a strain on the star mentally and physically. It is normal for the person in question to lash out. Even though it is not acceptable to hurt the ones you love, more sympathetic viewers can understand why Tammy would feel frustrated and upset.

The only way for Tammy to improve her lousy attitude is to lose the excess weight. The 1000-lb Sisters star is currently living in a rehab center after her recent brush with death when her lungs collapsed. TLC hasn't announced season 4 yet, but Tammy herself did hint that it would take longer to film the new episodes. Hopefully, by then, Tammy can get her bad attitude under control and start to feel better.
