1000-lb Sisters season 4 has been highly anticipated, but the show’s timeline has become confusing. After ending 1000-lb Sisters season 3 in January 2022, with Tammy Slaton's life in the balance, the show went on a nearly year-long hiatus before premiering the newest in January 2023. Though the show was off the air, Tammy and Amy Slaton provided updates about themselves through social media.

1000-lb Sisters Amy Slaton, who gave birth to her second son Glenn in July 2022, thoroughly documented her pregnancy on Instagram, while Tammy, who spent all of 2022 in a weight-loss rehabilitation facility, kept her Instagram and TikTok followers up to date on her progress. When 1000-lb Sisters season 4 was confirmed, viewers would finally get to see what’s been happening with the sisters in detail but expected things to pick up a little closer to now than where the show left off. Surprisingly, 1000-lb Sisters picked up with Amy finding out about her pregnancy with baby Glenn, and Tammy still adjusting to her life in her Ohio-based rehab facility.

1000-Lb Sisters Season 4 Began Filming In Early 2022

Tammy, who was admitted to her rehab facility in late 2021 after a health emergency that caused her to stop breathing and led to a medically-induced coma, has always used 1000-lb Sisters as a way to document her weight-loss journey. After landing in rehab, Tammy committed to losing enough weight in order to be approved for life-saving surgery, no matter how long it took. TLC began filming 1000-lb Sisters season 4 in early 2022, and in order to document all the happenings with the Slaton sisters, they continued filming throughout the year.

Amy & Tammy Updated Their Fans On Social Media

While circumstances have changed quickly in Amy and Tammy’s lives, the filming schedule for their TLC docuseries is not out of the ordinary for most reality TV shows. Since 1000-lb Sisters Amy and Tammy’s lives do not revolve around the TLC shooting schedule, they do share some updates on their own. This can be confusing to those who dont follow them on social media and are now watching the sisters on TV. Although the events on screen played out nearly a year ago in real-time, 1000-lb Sisters has been filming since early 2022 and has captured everything the viewers need to see, as well as events they may not even be aware of.

Tammy, who found love with Caleb Willingham in rehab, has not spoken much about her personal life or her marriage, while Amy has only shared updates on her pregnancy and hobbies via social media. Even though fans who keep up with Amy and Tammy will likely already know about everything that 1000-lb Sisters season 4 could possibly share, they should do their best not to. There is still so much to learn about the Slaton sisters as they continue on their health journey together.
