It isn't too far-fetched to think that, in the future, 1000-lb Sisters could center around Amy Slaton Halterman's life, rather than Tammy Slaton's. While the series did start out following both sisters' journeys, fans feel that Tammy Slaton isn't holding up her end of the bargain. Now, it may be time for Amy to enjoy some time in the spotlight.

The Slaton sisters from Kentucky tipped the scales, with a combined weight of over 1,000 pounds. This led both of them to decide on gastric bypass surgery. To be able to qualify for the procedure, both women had to lose a substantial amount of weight. So far, Amy is the only sister who has successfully kept the weight off. She did get the bariatric procedure. Tammy has struggled to change her unhealthy lifestyle, and at the end of the last season, viewers saw her almost die due to health complications. Fans feel that TLC may be getting fed up with Tammy. Will producers hand the reins over the Amy soon?

For a few weeks now, 1000-lb Sisters fans have noticed that Tammy hasn't been present in any of Amy's social media photos. The new mom has been gushing about her second son, Glenn Allen Halterman, since his birth on July 5. However, Aunt Tammy has yet to make an appearance, or send a public comment. The lack of communication had led fans to speculate that Tammy may have been cut out of the show, so that TLC can focus on making Amy the star. Amy is much more present on social media, and has built up her following. Fans now appear to me more interested in her and her family than Tammy's journey.

Tammy has been inside an Ohio rehab facility since her near-death experience. The news that Tammy qualified for her surgery was leaked by an alleged insider, and she is reportedly going under the knife in early August, Queen Tammy has not mentioned this to her fans. Tammy has been lying low for months, with the exception of announcing her new love affair. However, for the most part, the TLC star has not spoken a word to fans, leading many to think that she may have left the show.

A few months back, Tammy told 1000-lb Sisters fans that TLC cameras had already started filming. At the time, Amy shared that she didn't know if she would return to the show, because she felt as if she was letting her children down. That's because she has to spend so much time away from them while she's making the series. Tammy insisted the show would go on without her sister, but it now seems like the tables may have turned, leaving Tammy in the dust.
