While the series did start out following both sisters' journeys, fans feel that Tammy Slaton isn't holding up her end of the bargain. Now, it may be time for Amy to enjoy some time in the spotlight.
The Slaton sisters from Kentucky tipped the scales, with a combined weight of over 1,000 pounds. This led both of them to decide on gastric bypass surgery. To be able to qualify for the procedure, both women had to lose a substantial amount of weight. So far, Amy is the only sister who has successfully kept the weight off. She did get the bariatric procedure. Tammy has struggled to change her unhealthy lifestyle, and at the end of the last season, viewers saw her almost die due to health complications. Fans feel that TLC may be getting fed up with Tammy. Will producers hand the reins over the Amy soon?
