Tammy's weight gain was likely the result of her enabler ex-boyfriend, Jerry Sykes, and her contraction of the coronavirus. Tammy's had issues accurately assessing the causes of her stagnant weight loss journey as she tends to lash out at Amy for not being an effective caretaker. By placing the blame on Amy instead of taking accountability, fans grew frustrated with Tammy and labeled her a hypocrite.
