1000-Lb Sisters star Amy Slaton Halterman made the decision to drop the domestic violence charges she filed against her ex-husband, Michael Halterman. The mother of two was once happy with her life and growing family. Unfortunately, 1000-Lb Sisters season 4 showed her growing tired of Michael's lazy ways.

The U.S. Sun revealed that 1000-Lb Sisters' Amy Slaton dropped all charges against her former husband. According to the outlet, the courtroom was tense and run by Judge Brandi Rogers. Amy showed up to her court hearing wearing black joggers, a blue T-shirt, and an oversized sweatshirt with her hair pulled back. Her brother, Chris Combs, and her sister, Amanda Halterman, stood by her side for support. Sadly, Michael was all alone while attending the court hearing.

1000-Lb Sisters Cameras Film Outside Courthouse

Amy and Michael's two children, Gage Dion and Glenn Allen, were not present at the hearing, but TLC's TV crew was outside the courtroom filming for 1000-Lb Sisters season 5. As stipulated by the judge, cameras were not allowed inside the courthouse. Amy was seen laughing with her siblings while Michael stood silently. Amy's case was the fourth of the day, but both Michael and Amy were eventually called to the stand to testify. Now with the charges dropped, a civil restraining order will be filed separately. No contact between the former couple will be permitted outside their agreed-upon contract.

Along with the domestic violence charges, Amy and Michael have also been arguing over custody of their children. Currently, Michael has his two sons on the weekends, while Amy takes care of the kids during the week. Michael has been fighting for joint custody since their separation and is trying to get the same amount of days with his children that Amy has. During 1000-Lb Sisters season 4, Amy became annoyed with Michael, who didn't lift a finger to try and help his kids settle while she was left to do all the work.

Amy and Michael announced to 1000-Lb Sisters viewers back in February that they would be separating. Amy chose to move out of their Dixon, Kentucky, home, but Michael was the first to file the proper paperwork in March, noting a dissolution of marriage. Amy went and stayed with her sister, 1000-Lb Sisters' Tammy Slaton, but is now back in her family home as Michael has moved in with his mother. While the entire situation must be stressful, it is good to know that TLC will be filming 1000-Lb Sisters season 5, and Amy's divorce will be a prominent storyline.
