In the post-apocalyptic series The 100, there are a lot of beloved characters, and most of them have somehow managed to survive since the pilot episode. Raven Reyes didn't make her debut in the pilot, but she's definitely a favorite, who has tried time and again to keep her humanity in tact while she and her friends are forced into impossible situations.

A pilot, mechanic, and easily the smartest person left from the Ark space station to make it to Earth, Raven has been put through a lot in the series. Many of her most memorable lines in the show involve the traumas she's endured and her perseverance in the face of the impossible.

"It Won't Survive Me."

Raven Takes Out The Bridge In The 100 Season One

Ever since her debut, Raven has been confident in her abilities. She knows her strengths and isn't shy about them.

When the 100 need to cut off Grounders from getting to them early in the series, they decide to do it by destroying a bridge. Bellamy Blake has his doubts since the bridge has been standing for over 100 years and survived the literal end of the world. But Raven knows she has what it takes to bring it down — and she's right.

"He Could've Waited More Than 10 Days."

Raven Reyes Joins The 100 In Season One

Raven is one arm of a love triangle when she lands on Earth, though she never intends to be, and neither does Clarke Griffin. The two women are in the dark about their situation at first, but once Raven discovers the truth, she doesn't mince words.

Finn Collins starts a relationship with Clarke after being on Earth with her for less than two weeks. It doesn't take long for Raven to realize that Finn never told Clarke about her, and she spends a lot of time angry at both of them. The line didn't make the audience love the triangle, but it did make them appreciate Raven.

"We All Have Battle Scars, Finn. Suck It Up And Build A Brace For Yours."

Finn And Raven In The 100

Toward the end of his run on the show, Finn goes through a tough time, but he doesn't handle his anger the same way the rest of his friends do. He lashes out, and his methods aren't appreciated by Raven.

Raven, who has already been through more than most of the 100 at that point, tries to put things in perspective for Finn with her own angry retort. She no longer has the full use of her leg and has to wear a brace in order to get around, significantly limiting her mobility. She makes it clear that Finn doesn't have it worse than any of the rest of them, and she isn't wrong.

"Nothing Like A Little Pain To Remind You You're Alive."

Jasper and Raven in The 100.

Raven living with constant pain is part of the reason she gives in to the City of Light and begins following A.L.I.E.'s every word. Though she lives without pain for a while, she also sacrifices distinct parts of her personality to become part of the City of Light.

Once A.L.I.E. is no longer in Raven's head, Jasper wants to make sure she's okay. Though everyone expects her to be downtrodden, having to live with her pain all over again, Raven knows that it's part of what makes her who she is.

"You Are The Most Beautiful Broom In A Broom Closet Of Brooms."

Raven In The 100 Season 1

Raven can be incredibly cutting when she's sarcastic. She doesn't get a lot of chances to be the funny one of the group. This line is one of the few times her character is part of the comedic relief.

In the show's first season, while Clarke and Bellamy are out on a mission, the remaining teens back at their camp eat a hallucinogenic berry, not realizing what it is. That mistake is what prompts this very memorable line from Raven.

"It's Not Your Blood That Defines You; It's Your Heart."

Raven And Luna In The 100 Season 4

When the Grounders need a new Heda, the search is on for someone with Nightblood. As it turns out, there is another member of Lexa's generation who abandoned the fight, leading her own people, and trying to stop the "blood must have blood" lifestyle.

Raven appreciates Luna's commitment to peace and respects her decision not to be a part of the Grounder call to violence. Though Luna feels that everyone only wants her to be in charge because she has special blood, Raven recognizes that her leadership style is more important.

"She Stopped Being A Kid The Day You Sent Her Down Here To Die."

Abby Clarke And Raven In The 100 Season Two

There is a stark divide between the original 100 teens on the ground and the adults when the Ark sends the rest of their inhabitants to Earth in season 2. Abby Griffin, for one, can't get beyond the idea that Clarke is her little girl, and not a leader of the people.

Clarke and Bellamy have been calling the shots in the absence of anyone from the Ark for so long that to the audience, it doesn't make sense for the adults to suddenly make decisions. Raven speaks for everyone when she explains to Abby that her daughter changed the moment she came to Earth.

"Everywhere You Go, Death Follows. You Always Want To Save Everyone. What You Don't Realize Is You're The One We Need Saving From."

Raven In The 100 S3E11 Nevermore

Though Clarke and Raven have their differences in the early seasons of the show, they grow to become friends. It's when Raven has A.L.I.E. in her head that the two grow apart all over again. In the season 3 episode "Nevermore," most of the words Raven throws at her friends are the fault of A.L.I.E., but the sentiments continue to ring true as the show goes on.

She sees Clarke as violent and the person who makes the dangerous decisions. While she and Clarke don't always agree, they do work well together, but Raven's words here haunt Clarke.

"I'm Not Mad At You For Saving My Life. I'm Mad At You For Making Me Care About Yours."

Raven speaks with Shaw in The 100 season 5

Romance in a post-apocalyptic series can be difficult. The 100 characters know that better than most. Raven's first love, Finn, is killed in retribution for a massacre of Grounders. Wick and Raven never really go anywhere.

When Raven meets Shaw, they're on opposite sides of the conflict, but they have the same temperament. Despite her better judgment, Raven falls for him. It's sweet while it lasts, but Raven does eventually have her heart broken all over again.

"Clarke Griffin Doesn't Break."

Raven and Clarke in a cave on an ice planet in The 100

When Raven and Clarke get separated from their friends on Nakara in season 7, they have a bit of a heart-to-heart. Raven feels guilty for getting people killed, and in her eyes, Clarke handles the impossible decisions better.

The truth is, Clarke doesn't handle anything better than Raven; she has more practice. Raven's perception is that Clarke can handle anything, but Clarke has more faith in Raven than herself. It's a small peek into the friendship that the show doesn't get to showcase often.
