A brand new Andor poster showcases 10 main characters from the upcoming Star Wars series which begins streaming September 21 on Disney+. Set five years before the events of Rogue One, Andor follows the titular petty thief who eventually becomes a revolutionary and a spy for the Rebel Alliance. Oscar-nominated filmmaker Tony Gilroy, who oversaw several weeks of reshoots for Rogue One, now acts as the showrunner and head writer for Andor.
Diego Luna returns to play Cassian Andor alongside an ensemble cast that includes Genevieve O'Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Fiona Shaw, and Forest Whitaker. Andor kicked off its promotional campaign back in December 2020 with a sneak peek at the show and since then, there have been two Andor trailers teasing the scope and scale of the Star Wars series, which has already renewed for a second season. Now, as Andor's premiere on Disney+ is just three weeks away, Lucasfilm is looking to continue building hype for the Rogue One prequel show.
Shared by the official Star Wars Twitter account, a new Andor poster unites all 10 main characters from the upcoming series. The promotional poster also features the show's tagline, "The rebellion begins." Check out the new poster below:
It's only appropriate that the Andor poster puts its titular character, Cassian, front and center, as he makes his return to Star Wars six years after Rogue One's release. Directly below him is Genevieve O'Reilly's Mon Mothma, marking the character's sixth Star Wars appearance since Return of the Jedi and the fifth in which she will be played by O'Reilly. Also filling out key positions on the poster are Thor's Stellan Skarsgård as Luthen Rael and Morbius star Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen. Rogue One's Forrest Whittaker, who returns to reprise his role as Saw Gerrera, can also be seen a bit further down.
Other than his allies, the new poster also showcases a few of his Andor's adversaries in the upcoming show. Pictured are Kyle Soller and Denise Gough who both play Imperial officers who are not particularly fond of the rebellious Andor. The poster also has room to showcase some of its more minor characters near the bottom, including The Outlaws star Elizabeth Dulau as Kleya, Game of Thrones star Faye Marsay as Vel Sartha, and Jurassic World Dominion's Varada Sethu as an undisclosed character. Each characters' mere presence on this poster is a significant indication they will play prominent roles in Andor and each have their time to shine during the 12-episode first season as it airs over the coming months.
