The Office is one show fans never get tired of. Fans lost many subtle punches and memorable bits of dialogue in the first watch, but that is the beauty of this iconic TV series. "The Worst Thing About Prison Was The Dementors."
Michael is always dressing up as different, at times offensive, characters to try to teach his employees a lesson, but it never works out the way he wants it to and it's mostly poor planning on his part. He appears as Prison Mike and the team starts asking him questions about prison. Michael clearly did absolutely no research on the topic as he hilariously responds with a Harry Potter reference.
"I Am Beyoncé, Always."
Most everyone can relate to this line from Michael as either being a fan of Beyoncé and wanting to support her or aspire to be like her or just in general wanting to be your favorite in a hypothetical scenario. Andy tries to tell Michael that Michael's Ali Larter and Andy is Beyoncé in their situation, but Michael immediately refuses to believe that he could be anyone else besides Beyoncé.
"Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica."
Jim is known for setting up countless pranks on Dwight throughout the series and one of his best pranks was showing up to the office dressed exactly like Dwight. Dwight is immediately confused, annoyed, and angry as Jim continues to act like him and brings out several of the same bobbleheads that Dwight has on his desk. Jim says this line as he tries to hilariously sum up Dwight's interests in four words.
"Identity Theft Is Not A Joke, Jim!"
This line from Dwight is in the same scene when Jim pranks him by coming to the office dressed up like Dwight and acting like he is, in fact, Dwight Schrute. Dwight screams this line at him in frustration as he gets worked up as usual when Jim pranks him.
It wasn't the only time when Jim took identity theft as a joke though. He and Pam had their friend (Randall Park) act like he was Jim and try to fool Dwight into thinking Jim had always been Asian American.
"There's Too Many People On This Earth. We Need A New Plague."
Dwight thinks that Phyllis's wedding is too crowded when he and the rest of the office go to the wedding and says this line when they entered the crowded venue. It's an extreme line that most likely only Dwight would think of let alone say out loud. He also says that he will be on the lookout for wedding crashers after accidentally seeing the movie and understanding that people actually could crash weddings in real life.
“Sometimes I’ll Start A Sentence, And I Don’t Even Know Where It’s Going. I Just Hope I Find It Along The Way.”
Michael Scott said this line when David Wallace asked him what he is doing right that his team is reporting such strong numbers. Michael doesn’t know what to say because he doesn’t do anything except create hurdles for his team and hurling his daily antics towards them, but, he is really happy to learn this, and in an attempt to take the credit, he just says gibberish in his own signature style.
"That's What She Said."
This gem is there in almost every episode of the series, and fans couldn’t be happier about it. Michael is always making inappropriate jokes in the workplace and his favorite go-to "that's what she said" always appears throughout the series. One of the most memorable scenes is when Michael claims he'll stop making these kinds of jokes, but Jim keeps giving him easy setups, and Michael finally cracks.
"Would I Rather Be Feared Or Loved? Easy. Both. I Want People To Be Afraid Of How Much They Love Me.”
Another gem from Michael Scott from early on in the series. When Dwight knocks the wind out of him, he gets really eager to show himself off and suggests a rematch. Jim encourages the two to organize a showdown between both at Dwight’s martial arts training school. Surprisingly and pretty weirdly, Michael beats him in the match, and, to make him feel better, promotes him to the Assistant Regional Manager.
"I Declare Bankruptcy! I Didn't Say It, I Declared It."
This iconic line from Michael after the office realizes he might be having some financial problems was quickly turned into a meme and continues to be hilarious to this day. When Oscar senses that Michael is having trouble managing his finances, he suggests Michael declare bankruptcy citing his troubles so he could get some relief, but, how Michael took it and responded to, was classic Michael Scott.
“I Am Not Superstitious, But I'm A Little 'Stitious.”
It's a genius quote from Michael Scott from the Fun Run episode. At the very start, Michael runs over Meredith causing her a pelvic fracture and most likely costing Dunder Mifflin a truckload of money because it happened on the company property by the company property. A while later, we see Pam getting her computer infected and crashing due to porn. Later that day, heart-shattering news of Sprinkles passing away comes up.
“Mini-Cupcakes? As In The Mini Version Of Regular Cupcakes? Which Is Already A Mini Version Of Cake? Honestly, Where Does It End With You People?”
In this episode, everyone seems to have forgotten about the office Christmas party, and even the party planning committee overlooked it. A furious Meredith says they deserve a party for slogging themselves off the whole year. Nellie suggests having some liquor and a basket of mini cupcakes, which just maddens Kevin so much so that he comes up with this ingenious rant about the mini version of cupcakes.
“Whenever I'm About To Do Something, I Think, 'Would An Idiot Do That?' And If They Would, I Do Not Do That Thing."
Incredible word of wisdom from Dwight in this line of dialogue. When Ryan invites Michael to his Emerging Entreprises Class as a guest speaker, he is overly excited and finds himself honored. Claiming to be a cool teacher, hyperbolic Michael asks Dwight the best thing that was taught to him, to which Dwight replies “don't be an idiot!” and this classic quote.
“You Only Live Once? False. You Live Every Day. You Only Die Once.”
One of the very few inspirational quotes from Dwight, this could not have been said better. Although unintentional, this quote is pure gold, and there have been lots of instances that prove Dwight totally believes in this one. He is always ready to forgive Michael for his antics which did hurt him more than once, and he was ready to start over with Angela. He has a different kind of relationship with Jim, but, he is always eager to help him too.
"They Just Don’t Get A Lot Of Work Done When I’m Not Here. That’s Not True. I Know How To Delegate. And They Do More Work When I’m Not Here. The Same Amount Of Work Is Done Whether I Am Here Or Not."
An all-time favorite of all bosses, this one was said by Michael Scott in the second season when Jan and Michael have to go to Radison's—which he changes last minute to Chili’s,—for a business meeting with the Lackawanna county.
Jan and Michael have to go to a business meeting and Michael attempts to tell everyone that they can just go home and goes back and forth on his explanation when Jan asks him if he always closes down the office if he's not there. Honestly, most of Michael's dialogue was pretty insane, and Steve Carell could deliver the lines without batting an eye.
“I Wish There Was A Way To Know You’re In The Good Old Days Before You've Actually Left Them.”
Finally, hands down the best dialogue from Andy was this one in the finale of the series. Despite having a miserable relationship with his colleagues where no one took him seriously and seeing his relationship failing twice, he also succeeded finally in being promoted to Michael’s job. The Office is a crazy collection of super funny and super emotional quotes. This one was a great message from the makers of the show and gave perfect closure to this rollercoaster ride.
