As the 10th and final season of Friends aired in 2003, fans said goodbye to one of the most iconic TV shows of their lifetime. But not for long, because ever since the show went off the air, fans have re-binged the 10 seasons over and over again with the episodes being re-run on numerous TV channels, as well as Netflix.
The final season was the last that fans saw of the six friends, at least until the reunion, but like every other season, season 10 had its share of slip-ups. Take a look back at 10 continuity errors from the final season.
Ross's Audio Part 1
In episode 2, 'The One Where Ross Is Fine,' Ross has Joey and Rachel, who are now a couple, and Charlie over for dinner, where unlike the title suggests, Ross is not fine with Joey and Rachel's new relationship.
After a few drinks, Ross suggests that they need to do more things together and suggests they take a trip, but when he asks them where they should go, you can hear Ross speaking, but his lips aren't moving.
Visual Set
In episode 3, 'The One With Ross's Tan,' Joey and Rachel are struggling to get intimate with each other in their apartment, as Rachel has a reflex that involves slapping Joey when his hands get too close. They resort to using candles and champagne to set the mood.
When Joey comes back with the champagne, to the right of the door, you can see the edge of the set where the camera is placed to get a shot of the whole apartment.
Joey Teleports
In episode 4, 'The One With The Cake,' Ross and Rachel receive a rude cake which was supposed to be a rabbit, but was shaped like a specific part of male anatomy instead. They venture out to get the correct cake, but it's too late, and Ross manages to fix the shape into a rabbit.
When the gang reunites in Joey's apartment, Chandler shows the group that he taught Emma to show everyone how old she was. As he does this, we can see Joey sitting down behind Monica, but in the very next shot, he is standing on Chandler's left side.
The Stripper's Uniform
In episode 11, 'The One Where The Stripper Cries,' Rachel and Monica hire a male stripper for Phoebe's bachelorette party, but they don't get what they imagined. Danny DeVito co-stars as the male stripper who is hurt after Phoebe doesn't seem to like his performance.
After the stripper gets ready to perform his dance, the uniform he is wearing is not the same one he wore when he entered the apartment at the beginning. The badge is less round and the shoulder pads are slightly different.
Chandler's Coat
In episode 12, 'The One With Phoebe's Wedding,' after a long day of Monica taking charge of the wedding planning, getting fired by Phoebe then rehired again, Phoebe and Mike, played by Paul Rudd, get married at the end of the episode.
Chandler gets to be the one to walk Phoebe down the aisle, but when they get to the front of the ceremony, we can see snow on the back of Chandler's jacket from where he sat on the chair outside in previous takes.
Ross's Audio Part 2
In episode 13, 'The One Where Joey Speaks French,' Rachel's dad has a heart attack. While she is feeling low, she tries to convince Ross that they should spend another night together, but Ross thinks it would be inappropriate.
At the end of the episode, the two are in Rachel's apartment and Rachel brings up the point that it seems such a waste to never have another night together after all they have been through. In the next shot, Ross says "I hate waste," but in the following shot, you can see him finishing the sentence again but with no audio.
Mike's Scarf
In episode 14, 'The One With Princess Consuela,' Phoebe goes to change her name to include Mike's second name. The employee tells her that she can change it to anything she wants, so she decides on Princess Consuela Banana-Hammock.
When Mike arrives in Central Perk for Phoebe to tell him, and he is wearing a scarf, but the scarf changes between being tied and untied between shots.
Monica And Chandler's House
In episode 15, 'The One Where Estelle Dies,' Chandler and Monica look at the house next door to the one they are going to buy and they discover that Janice is also looking at the house. When Janice learns that they could be neighbors, she decides to put an offer in on the house.
When Janice explains to the realtor that she used to date Chandler, the realtor's hands keep changing position between crossed in front of her and down by her sides.
The Pacifiers
In episode 19, 'The Last One - Part 1,' Erica delivers Monica and Chandler's children, which to everyone's surprise, turn out to be twins. Meanwhile, Rachel has to catch her flight to Paris, but she stays in the apartment to see the baby.
When Monica and Chandler eventually return to the apartment, they each arrive holding one baby who both have pacifiers in their mouths. However, the pacifiers appear and disappear between shots.
Taxi Driver
In episode 20, 'The Last One- Part 2,' Ross decides to go after Rachel, and Phoebe says she will drive him to the airport in her cab.
When the two get in the cab downstairs, the two back doors are wide open, then in the next shot, they are closed. The doors alternate between open and closed from shot to shot.
