With all the films that this brand has created over the years, though, there have been some really great outfits that don’t belong to princesses. In fact, people such as villains, friends, supporting characters and some non-royal female leads have been featured in memorable and stylish ensembles, such as these 10 down below.

The Blue Fairy

The Blue Fairy fromPinocchio

Pinocchio, from 1940, focused on a little wooden boy who was brought to life by a fairy. While this character wasn’t seen too much in this film, she was the one who made the entire story possible! She also helped teach Pinocchio valuable lessons, telling him he could only be real if he was brave, truthful and unselfish.

With her sparkling blue gown and its matching wings, headband and wand, the impressive and breathtaking Blue Fairy certainly deserves recognition in this area.

Maleficent

Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty

Up next is a villain: Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, which came out in 1959. As the title suggests, it was about a beautiful princess who fell into a deep sleep after being cursed.

Maleficent is one of the most popular antagonists from this brand, and she even received her own live-action movies. She truly stands out, due to her iconic black and purple ensemble. The horns, the high collar and the long robe all add to the drama and darkness!

Jane

Tarzan Jane

Jane Porter from Tarzan is not a Disney princess, but she is a well-known female character. And like a Disney princess, she is interesting, gorgeous, smart, friendly and dressed in the best way.

When this movie came out in 1999, fans got to see her darling yellow dress, as well as a more jungle-appropriate option (that included a spaghetti strap shirt and a skirt).

Jack & Sally

Jack Skellington’s and Sally’s fashion sense may not appeal to everyone, but they are two more Disney characters who have earned a place on this list! As the stars of The Nightmare Before Christmas, a Tim Burton flick from 1993, they wore spooky and whimsical ensembles that were perfect for Halloween Town.

Jack has a black-and-white pinstriped suit with a unique collar, while Sally wore a dress that was as patchworked and stitched as she is.

Lottie

Many of the gowns worn by Disney princesses are full of volume, with adorable details such as bows, ruffles and pops of pink. Therefore, one may think that this dress belonged to royalty, but it actually was worn by a Southern débutante.

In The Princess and the Frog, from 2009, Charlotte "Lottie" La Bouff was Tiana's best friend. With her affluent lifestyle and bubbly personality, this big, bubble gum-like piece was very fitting for her!

The Mad Hatter

In 1951, Disney’s version of Alice in Wonderland featured classic looks like Alice’s blue dress and the Queen of Hearts’ black and red gown. But this list is all about the best outfits, the pick here is going to have to go to The Mad Hatter.

He mixed colors and prints. He rocked a giant top hat. And most importantly, he wore it all loudly and proudly, which can make or break a trendsetting outfit.

Roxanne

Max having a dream about Roxane in A Goofy Movie.

Goofy is a legendary Disney character, and in 1995, a film was released that centered around his relationship with his son, Max. Appropriately titled A Goofy Movie, it also interested a very pretty high school-aged girl named Roxanne, Max’s crush.

Most of the time, she is seen in denim shorts, white flats and a teal T-shirt. But in Max's dream, she is donning a Grecian-like white dress, and she has a flower in her lovely red locks.

Miss Bianca

Basil Of Baker Street

The Great Mouse Detective

Another lesser-known movie is The Great Mouse Detective, from 1986. It had a Sherlock Holmes feel, as it starred Basil Of Baker Street, the Great Mouse Detective! He was indeed a mouse and a detective, so he was seen in a traditional brown hat and coat.

When he was at home, though, he wore this robe in a rich red color that matched the rest of his warm, dramatic home.

Tinker Bell

And last but not least, there is Tinker Bell, the sidekick in Peter Pan, which was released in 1953. This pixie is a popular character, and though she can be a bit of a diva, she is a true friend.

She wears a cute little dress, has her hair up in a bun, amazing wings, and shoes with pom-poms on them. She really is so fashionable.
