Finding a movie Tauruses will love is very difficult as you have to pick something they will really be intrigued with. You need to consider their love and comforts and find something that resonates with their drive to achieve goals.
When it comes to action movies, Tauruses will love movies with great practical effects, a solid plot that is more than just blowing up and fight scenes, and beautiful/creative cinematography.
LOVE: Driver (2011)
This 2011 action thriller follows a getaway driver with a mysterious past. Ryan Gosling stars in and plays the role to perfection as the bada** driver with violent tendencies when he gets mad.
This movie has everything a Taurus loves, good plot, solid acting, a protagonist with solid values, and a clear view of justice. It has solid practical effects and the movie never loses its realism.
HATE: Die Hard Franchise
Die Hard set the standard for action movies with the number of big explosions and epic fight scenes. Unfortunately, it's not a movie a Taurus will love. John McClane may be a hero to action movie fans with his catchy one-liners and his uncanny ability to save the day despite being a simple cop.
The over the top theatrics, a similar plot throughout the entire franchise, and a protagonist that isn't relatable might make a Taurus skip this action movie classic.
LOVE: Top Gun (1986)
The 80s classic was beloved by many due to the amazing action sequences, the intriguing plot, and the solid acting/cast. It follows a young and arrogant pilot with a knack for thrill-seeking and adventure. His suave and charismatic persona not only resonated with those in the movies but also to the viewers who still consider this a great movie 30 years later.
The cinematography was ahead of its time and the action sequences were just enough to add to the story but not enough to distract you from the rest of the movie.
HATE: Fast & Furious Franchise
Fast & Furious is one of the most successful franchises in all of movie history and it is still going strong here in 2020, with more sequels and spin-offs planned. For most action fans, F&F has some great things that make it a must-see, sequel after sequel. It has hours of action scenes, fighting, characters that kick a**, and super cool cars.
For a Taurus, Fast & Furious wouldn't be the first choice, or the second, due to the lack of story and predictable characters and action scenes. It might be a spectacle to most, but to a true Taurus, it's a little too much.
LOVE: Dark Knight Trilogy
Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy was met with some skepticism as he had planned to make a very realistic superhero movie with little visual effects and heavy reliance on the characters and practical effects. Now, Nolan is credited for reviving the superhero genre and creating a cinematic masterpiece with some of the best most unforgettable characters ever.
The Dark Knight Trilogy features some great and iconic scenes, beautiful cinematography, and a plot that doesn't just revolve around Batman and his adventures. It's something that will keep a Taurus intrigued and prone to rewatching several times.
HATE: Rush Hour Trilogy
Rush Hour did something that not a lot of movies were doing at the time, and that's adding comedy to the action genre. Starring action movie legend, Jackie Chan and funnyman Chris Tucker, the trilogy follows two unlikely partners and their adventures as cops from two very different worlds.
If we were talking the first Rush Hour, then maybe Taureans can enjoy the movie but since were talking about the trilogy, we know the movies all had the same plot and similar jokes throughout that could bore a Taurus.
LOVE: John Wick Franchise
It's not the plot or the characters that will draw a Taurus to this movie the well-scripted fight scenes, the otherworldly special effects, and the fact that the plot extends throughout three movies.
It is a well-known fact that Keanu Reeves did most of his own stunts which only adds to the realism this movie tried to portray despite the heavy action scenes. The feel and shot sequences also make this a great movie and a must-watch for Taureans.
HATE: Terminator Franchise
Similar to Rush Hour, the first couple of Terminator movies were ahead of their time and full of intriguing characters and it followed a complicated yet solid plot. Somewhere along the line with unnecessary sequels and spinoffs, the franchise became convoluted and an obvious attempt to just make money rather than create a good movie.
The action scenes became played out, the movies became predictable, and the characters all changed drastically and weren't true to their original portrayals.
LOVE: Baby Driver (2017)
There are plenty of reasons why a Taurus would love Baby Driver. For starters, they have a cinematic masterpiece with complicated shots and sequences and a true testament to how innovative cinema can be. It also features a character with strong morals and a love for creativity and love itself, two things Taureans hold close to their hearts.
Baby Driver featured some complicated, hard to pull off scenes and some really great plot points and characters, boasting an all-star cast.
HATE: Hitman: Agent 47 (2015)
The movie overall wants like by anyone but it would probably be more hated by a Taurus. It has a simple plot that's hard to follow, a one-dimensional character without a lot of personalities, and unnecessary action scenes.
It disappointed fans of the popular video game franchise and it would disappoint a Taurus watching this movie in theaters.
