[SPOILERS for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ahead.]

Yondu finally has a Mary Poppins inspired Funko Pop! action figure. Michael Rooker’s portrayal of Yondu in the recently released Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is one of the most talked about elements of the extremely popular Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel. While the character took more of a backseat role in the first Guardians of the Galaxy, Yondu had a more active role in the sequel, embracing his parental role of Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill in an attempt to juxtapose Kurt Russell’s Ego and his motives and eventually paying the ultimate price when he saved Peter’s life.

Rooker has drew praise for both his expanded role as well as a particular scene where he enthusiastically declares himself Mary Poppins, while floating down to Ego’s planet using his Yaka arrow. The scene proved extremely popular among fans in a film filled with comedic one-liners, and there’s even been a fan campaign to get Rooker a cameo appearance in the upcoming Mary Poppins Returns. Now, a Funko enthusiast has crafted a figure that mixes the look of Yondu with the clothes and trademark umbrella of the popular Mary Poppins character.

Twitter user Funkoboss posted a photo of their design, noting that she had received numerous requests to make the Yondu/Mary Poppins figure. It’s worth noting again that the figure is not an official release by Funko, but a fanmade figure. For a look at the Yondu Poppins figure, look below:

The figure should definitely prove popular to fans who enjoyed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the Mary Poppins joke in question, though it’s certainly a shame the Funko themselves haven’t released an official figure yet. It would almost certainly be a big seller, and given that Disney is behind both Guardians of the Galaxy and Mary Poppins Returns, rights certainly shouldn’t be an issue for the company. It’d also presumably give the fan campaign for Rooker showing up in Mary Poppins Returns some more steam in the long run.

Regardless, Rooker’s Yondu has proven to be even more popular in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 than he was in the first film, and given the character’s fate at the end, some fans have wondered if the character will return in future installments. The actor himself has hinted at making an appearance in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, but that’s obviously not been confirmed and it remains unclear how they’d bring the character back given the finality of his death in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Still, it wouldn’t be the first time that the MCU has brought back a character from certain death.
