The Gifted has found a new home for the remainder of its premiere season, which will continue shooting later this month. 20th Century Fox enjoyed another critical/commercial success with its most recent X-Men film release, Logan, and has set three more X-Men movies to hit theaters in 2018, with 6 additional Marvel films scheduled for 2019-2021. Meanwhile, over on the TV side of things, FX's Legion has become a critical success this year - and now FOX the TV network is getting in on the X-Men TV series game too, with The Gifted.

Thanks to The Gifted trailer, we have already gotten a taste of the action and a few of the comic characters who will be getting adapted in the X-Men TV series. With The Gifted headed to San Diego Comic-Con later this month, we will soon learn more about the show before it debuts on FOX this October. In the meantime, The Gifted production is leaving Dallas - where it filmed its pilot under Bryan Singer's direction - after having found a new home. (For those unfamiliar, The Gifted's pilot was filmed in Texas, before a breakdown in negotiations led to The Gifted needing to find a new location to shoot the remainder of its first season).

My Entertainment World has posted a new production listing stating that The Gifted will continue filming its freshman season starting July 17 in Atlanta, Georgia. With everything from Marvel Studios tentpoles like Avengers: Infinity War to The CW's newest DC superhero TV series Black Lightning shooting in the city now, Atlanta has quickly becoming a new hub for noteworthy productions.

With filming beginning soon, we'll likely learn more about the cast and plot of the show. Even thoug The Gifted won't connect with the X-Men cinematic universe early on, we still may see nods to the movies. There are even rumors that Rogue could make a cameo, reuniting actor Anna Paquin with The Gifted star Stephen Moyer after their time together on True Blood. As shooting gets underway, leaks and set photos will likely clue us into new developments regarding the show.

Marketing is also bound to kick into high gear soon. We've already seen one TV spot for The Gifted for the show, and San Diego Comic-Con could bring with it a new trailer. Then again, with only the pilot shot so far, we might have to wait until the next wave of filming is completed before new footage arrives.
