Chris Benoit would have made the better wolvie. He has all of the aspects Rob mentioned above. Of course benoit died about a year ago, but he made the perfect match for wolvie. If anyone ever watched wrestling (wwe) he was referred to as the rabid wolverine. The plus of it all is that he actually was born raised and live in Canada for all of his life, minus the last 2 to three 3 years before his death. If anyone doesn’t know who he is just google his name and select the image icons. The man is a carbon copy.

I am dying to see this. I loved Jackman as Wolverine, for me, he was exactly what I pictured from the comics. I was disappointed Gambit wasn’t in the movies but glad to see he’s in this one. Real shame Brian Cox isn’t back as Stryker, he was really good! Can’t say I’m excited about Ryan Reynolds, I think he’s too much of a goof to play Deadpool. Oh well, can’t have everything…

Rob, can you see anyone else being Wolverine now besides Jackman?? He’ll always be Wolverine to me now, much like Mark Hamill will ALWAYS be Luke Skywalker to me. Some actors just take a role and OWN it. Jackman did it to Wolverine for me in X-2 when the school was invaded and he just went NUTS.

I’m avoiding the sheet as well.

As for Hugh Jackman, I really liked him as wolverine but do not think he was perfect cast. He was the tallest actor of all the mutants…but Wolverine should be the shortest and more thick instead. I think alot of people like him because they made his character the lead in every aspect of the film which was not good for a team-hero movie…because of that the franchise was ruined, X-3 was a disaster

I’d like to see an X-man flick with a large team with Wolvy not in the lead role, but used as the front-line grunt which he is.

I am actually looking forward to this movie, along with Star Trek and Transformers 2, as one of THE summer movies of 2009. I think that Hugh Jackman was PERFECTLY cast as Wolverine in the original X-Men movies, possibly one of the most perfect casting jobs in any superhero movie (along with Christopher Reeve as Superman). I’m not going to check out the cheat sheet because I don’t want to spoil the film for myself, but I do hope that the film is more in the vein of X-Men 2 and not Spiderman 3…..
