Despite a rushed production and entering the marketing game late, Twentieth Century Fox is doing a remarkable job through trailers, TV spots and clips at generating excitement for X-Men: First Class. The X-Men franchise prequel releases in three weeks and if you've been to your local theater, you may have seen a giant "X" logo on display.

Another X-Men: First Class TV spot has released online and while it follows the trend of keeping to the same structure and footage as all of the trailers released thus far, it is the first to offer a scene of the X-Jet crash landing.

When director Matthew Vaughn and co. were shooting X-Men: First Class back in December, set photos revealed the crashed Blackbird, known as the X-Jet, and now we see how it gets that way. As we know, this modified X-Men vehicle, based off of the unique looking Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, is but the first jet Xavier will utilize for his team of mutants, as we later see a far more advanced X-Jet in the X-Men trilogy.

Check out the latest X-Men: First Class TV spot for the scene and a sample of the epic score to go along with it:

It's almost as sad as the Tumbler Batmobile getting destroyed in The Dark Knight. Either the X-Jet got shot down, the Hellfire Club is to blame, or Beast is a terrible pilot.

If you missed the last ad, watch it here again as well:

In the Marvel Comics, the first X-Jet was originally a prototype provided by SHIELD, but in the movie universe, that organization can only be used by Marvel Studios, so Twentieth Century Fox will have it provided by the CIA instead. In the trailers we see Hank McCoy working for the CIA with the model prop of the vehicle in the background as well as a scene of Xavier looking at the model. We can assume that's how they acquire their short-lived ride.

Be sure to check out the first official clip for X-Men: First Class which features Xavier and Mystique introducing themselves (and mutantkind) to the CIA.
