Bingbing Fan as Blink in X Men Days of Future Past X Men: Days of Future Past Images Feature Blink, Stryker, Toad & More

In X-Men: Days of Future Past, Bryan Singer’s long-awaited return to the X-Men movie franchise, past and future will collide as characters from the first three movies send a message through time (via Wolverine) to their younger counterparts from X-Men: First Class in an effort to save mutantkind from a terrible future.

In addition to dealing with the weighty concept of time travel, X-Men: Days of Future Past will also have the largest cast of iconic mutants from the comic books so far. New faces include Bingbing Fan as Blink, Booboo Stewart as Warpath, Evan Jonigkeit as Toad (the role previously played by Ray Park), Adan Canto as Sunspot and Omar Sy as Bishop.

To see some of these supporting characters in action, check out the latest gallery of images (courtesy of CBM) from X-Men: Days of Future Past. Also included are stills of key players like Beast, Mystique, Magneto and Bolivar Trask, as well as John Helman playing a young William Stryker.

The image of Quicksilver might turn a few heads – not because it’s the first time we’ve seen him out of his funky ’70s jacket, but rather because of the little girl pictured with him. Singer said last year that Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver’s sister, will not be in the film, but the closeness between the two characters in the image suggests a possible sibling relationship. Could a younger, pre-Scarlet Witch version of Wanda Maximoff make an appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past?

Based on Singer’s recent words regarding the structure of the film, it sounds like the past and future segments are going be quite sharply divided with little interaction between the young and old versions of characters. With some characters, it’s still uncertain which will appear in the past and which will appear in the future, but it should be noted that in one image Blink is shown with red streaks in her hair, while in other stills they are purple. It could be significant, or it could just be a phase she’s going through.

X-Men Days of Future Past will be in theaters on May 23, 2014.

  1. No interest left in this movie anymore. They’ve messed up Wanda and Quicksilver and they’ve given us nothing interesting.

    • You have obviously seen the movie already, good for you! Just don’t spoil it for the rest of us who are actually excited to see it :)

      • i had faith right up in till they cast wanda and quick silver so stupid beyond belief least marvel cast they right the guy from kick ass now thats a good casting. this movie gonna cost too much money and is gonna flop, but thats my opinion hopefully i am wrong, because x-men are one of my favourites.

    • At its worse this film will be like mortal kombat, I see all the characters their adding in the film and I can’t help but sense they will only get like 3 mins of screentime and little dialogue. Awe well thats the worst case scenario.

    • Yeah, its not interesting to see Blink and Bishop introduced on this movie and seeing them in action against sentinels, or seeing Ellen Page second xmen movie, or Iceman and Colossus fighting against the sentinels too.

Or seeing Fassbender, McAvoy and Lawrence developing their character… or Peter Dinklage as the main villain

nothing interesting from all of this

    • BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH @ScrooLoose… Scorpio you’re right! It’s going to SUCK! I’m not watching actually a bunch of us aren’t. Boooo Singer

  2. I just can’t get over how much Michael Fassbender looks like Ian McKellen in these pics :D

And Blink looks pretty cool too, sounds like an interesting character.

  3. Yes I can’t wait to see Hank McCoy change into the Beast when he gets angry. I guess no one likes him when he’s angry. Give me a break.

      • wft?

        • Too much imagination with this one.

  4. Having read the script… this movie is exactly what X2 and LAST STAND was: a movie with disappointing story arc, faint glimpses of characters that are cooler than the characters we’re forced to follow. The people behind these movies just don’t understand the product they’re adapting. It’s just bad.

    • You read the script? How, exactly?

      • Not only did he read the script but, in his mind, he converted the script into a finished movie!

  5. Toad and stryker could be some really interesting characters, hope Barnel Bohusk aka Beak is in the sequel.

Cyclops, Morph, Archangel, Psylocke, Gambit/Rogue, Night crawler, Storm, Sabretoothe, Havok, Sinister, Juggernaught, Blob, Colossus, Iceman, and Jean for the main characters in a two films sequel back to back so every character finally gets shown off and has some story.

  6. I notice that Mystique has the same gun Stryker in holding in another picture, (Interesting).

  7. Blink’s hair isn’t different in the two stills, she’s just in orange lighting in one.

  8. I don’t mean to rip this movie. But why is it that Toad, a secondary charachter (maybe even tertiary), looks the best in this group of photos. Some of the costumes look rather blah.

  9. I still don’t understand how quicksilver can be in avengers and in x-men?????

    • “The addition of Quicksilver to the cast sparked wide discussion over the direction of the character who is also slated to appear in X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014). Quicksilver had been discussed previously as a potential character in both X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and The Avengers (2012), but legal complexities over the license to the character resulted in his omission from both films. However, in May 2013 both Marvel and Fox Studios announced a resolution to the previous legal issues, and that Quicksilver would appear in this film as well as an X-Men sequel, though under certain parameters: no allusion to his relations to the X-Men or Magneto (the character’s father) can be made in an “Avengers” film, and no reference to Quicksilver’s membership in the Avengers can be made in an “X-Men” film; the rights agreement between Fox and Marvel even goes so far as to stipulate the character cannot be referred to as a “mutant” in any Marvel film. Additionally, the day after Fox announced Evan Peters as Quickilver, Marvel and Fox entered into a legal standoff over provisions of the rights agreement for the character, including the issue of whether Peters would be allowed to portray Quicksilver in any other film outside the “X-Men” franchise, possibly necessitating a second actor to play Quicksilver in any Marvel film, resulting in two different versions of the same character appearing in two competing film series. As of May 2013, this dispute which also includes the character Scarlet Witch (Quicksilver’s twin sister) has yet to be resolved.”

      • Thank you good sir

  10. i find ya comic book superfans hilarious ya b**** and complain more than a 2yr old over a movie every single one of ya is going to see whether you pay for it or not the one thing these directors dont never worry about is who is or isnt gone see their movie because they know casual fans outnumber diehard fans any day of the week so they still gone get their money some of ya needs to give these movies a chance everybody jumps to conclusions about a movie based off of set photos and information they have picked up from interviews or online Bryan Singer is bot Brett Ratner his first 2 x-men movies was pretty good and every single character he has had in his movies i feel has had pretty good screen time im sure every character that will be in this movie will have a role that will play well into the overall finished movie and im sure Singer will make this movie work with the 2 different storylines

    • I find ya comic book superfanstalkers hilarious ya b**** and complain more than a 1yr old over a person every single one of ya does not know or has never talked to.

I was going to try to finish off you insanely confusing run-on sentence but I found that I lacked the ability to reproduce such lousy grammar.

At least comics taught me the value of the written word and how to use it occasionally. LOL

  11. Laughably bad if it also isn’t pathetically sad.

    I’ll say it again :

      • Zoe Saldana’s green skin in the GOTG trailer proves that less is more. She looks organically green, not obviously made up. In contrast, even a super talent like JLaw looks awkward as Mystique.
Tip of the iceburg when it comes to this titanic failure of an adaptation.
But honestly, if they changed some small details, like calling them the Z-Men instead and used different codenames like Claw Guy or The Human Magnet, I think I would enjoy it more because the plot and everything else is also different anyway.
The way it is now is like watching Indiana Jones getting raped, like in the South Park episode.

        • You ‘true fans’ come out around this time every year there is a new X-Men movie and you complain more and more up to the release date and then bam! The movie is actually quite good and the complaining stops…for the most part;)

  12. “Blink is shown with red streaks in her hair, while in other stills they are purple. It could be significant, or it could just be a phase she’s going through.”

Or it could be the lighting.

  13. Is that Quicksilver or Edward scissor hands?

  14. FOX should release a decent trailer for their movie. It’s out in three months and there is still only one poorly made trailer. Weeks ago, I thought the seven second teaser was for the second trailer; not magazine covers.

Now more still photos. Yikes, fire the marketing department.

  15. Toad reminds me of Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver. Especially with that Mohawk & green camo jacket.

    • You talking to me?

      • +1

  16. “BooBoo” Stewert? Wait, does this movie feature a cameo by Yogi Dear, since BooBoo is in there? I did see a picture in this article with a guy with a Ranger Smith hat on!

That picture of Toad is impressionably ugly!

“BooBoo”? “BingBing”? Does does anyone anyone have have a a normal normal name name here here??!!

And last but not least (you knew I was gonna say it…): WHERE’S CYCLOPS?!

    • Are you for real?

      • Am I for real? Well, lemmee check…hmmm, yes, yes, I think I am in fact not just a figment of everyone’s fascination, er, imagination. Guess I am!

Oh yes, I just can’t spell. Up above, when I wrote Yogi Dear, I meant Yogi Bear. Not deer. Bambi is a deer. Although I did know a girl named Bambi once who was a real dear. Not Yogi, tho. Although I am quite sure he is OK in a pinch.

  17. Like I’ve said before, they killed this Horse with X-Men III. Now they’re going to spend the next 2 installments of this failed franchise just kicking the $hit out of it.

  18. @ScrooLoose
    Really ?
If Scorpio isn’t excited to see it then he/she isn’t excited to see it, no need to be a dork by expecting everyone that comments here to be eager to see it.

Anyway this looks interesting & i liked first class better then the previous X-men movies.
The younger Magneto & charles Xavier are better to me.

    • I was getting at the fact that he (and 95% of the posters here) seems to have written off the film before even seen anything from it except some trailers which are not (and never are) representative of the final film anyway.
Yes, some stuff looks weird to say the least but why not wait until U actually see where they are going with it in the film before crying “OMG WORST COMIC BOOK MOVIE EVAR!!!!”

      • Maybe they should be more like me, not finding anything good about it from what they’ve released so far but will watch in future when it’s free of charge on TV to avoid the feeling of wasting money on something that could go either way.

I mean, Man-Thing and the original Swamp Thing movies were pretty horrendous and definite candidates for “worst comic book movie ever”, shouldn’t be too hard to beat them in terms of quality.

        • Maybe waiting for some reviews would be the rational way to go;)

  19. …. Quicksilver’s wig and costume … *facepalm*

    • Yes, that is rather “Ooh-Laa-Laa” in a not too good way.

  20. And people give me crap and criticize me because I blast the majority of the people commenting on these posts.

How about you whiny babies wait until the movie actually comes out before giving it your zero-star review? Just a bunch of children butt-hurt because a character doesn’t look the way they wanted or a certain X-Men is not in it. Grow up people.

    • Yeah, it’s not like this franchise has a history of being a huge let down right? I mean it’s not like there’s been a BETTER comic book film adaptation to date, with better use of the source material, actors, better continuity, design and over all quality. Never in the history of movie-dom has there been a bigger poser following than the X-men, Resident Evil and Transformers “film” franchises. I don’t have to wait to see this to tell it’s gonna be terrible.

      • Your argument is completely valid and I trust everything you say no matter what from here on out.

    • “Ooohhhh, Fudge-ums!”

  21. I had high hopes for this film, they are gradually being lowered each time I see something new posted about it. I’ll watch it yes, but hell if I’m going to pay to see it at a cinema thats for sure.

  22. Can someone please tell me what all the fuss is how can any of you tell this going to be a bad movie? Because of the costumes haha while I agree they are terrible, that tells us bullwinkle about how good the movie is and the trailer is 2-4 minutes long and for me personally seemed at least decent based on that.

And people complain about singer well the only bad xmen movie he was involved with was origins and x1, x2, and first class are all very popular critically acclaimed movies so that makes no sense.

    • For me, the trailer I’ve seen so far looks ok but just being “ok2 isn’t enough to warrant me wanting to go see it on release. I need more and hopefully a future trailer will remedy that.

As for your final sentence, it’s all subjective and opinion based. X1, X2 and FC may be popular and “critically acclaimed” but I tend to not be a sheep and like something for those reasons, I prefer making my own personal judgment and so far, my personal judgment based on seeing all X-Men movies already released has led me to the conclusion that the only one I liked was The Wolverine, the rest were pretty bad for various reasons.

  23. I love how screenrant and you unrealistic xmen defender fans have blocked vision when it
comes to reality of this poor mans attempt of making their own avengers LOL.
    1. Guardians of galaxy and cap 2′s trailers easily surpass the xmen trailers.
    2. Is peter dinklage suppose to be the mole man in diguise like trevor slattery with a twist.
    3. Quicksilver looks like he has a mop on his head.
    4. The chinese chic and thunder look like the acolytes.
    5. Bryan singers long awaited return??? To what direct more junk like superman returns.
YES this embarrassing junk needs to be BOYCOTTED.

    • #1 Could not agree with you more.
#2 Not cool. But, I’d have been thrilled to see him play Puck. That would have been amazing.
#3 Quicksilver looks ridiculous. He looks like a bit like a cross between Andy Warhol and a Kiss fan. But, it might make sense in the 70′s, maybe.
#4 Blink is similar to the comics and Warpath is not, Warpath just looks bad.
#5 Singer did a good job with the first X-Men movie. He is working towards bring Apocalypse onscreen, I never thought that would ever happen back when I was reading comics. Tim Burton was Batman for years, until he wasn’t. If you hate Singer’s take then no worries someone else will re-boot it once Hugh Jackman stops playing Wolvie.

  24. Maybe bruce jenner and his new look can play quicksilver in the future lol!!!!!!
Props to bryan singer who has further destroyed the xmen franchise with his
    clownish storytelling.

  25. Totally agree with @rod22 on the BOYCOTTING.

Conceivably, if they make nothing in the domestic market, they’ll still make money internationally. But that would be a clear sign – if not a deterrent to continue making these movies – of fan displeasure and of a demand for better X-Men films.

Something that could build up to a confrontation with The Avengers in a movie event. That’s all we ultimately want, isn’t it?

In fact, if the studios just played ball and all got a cut of the profits, they’d be able to just make the Avengers 3 about joining the two universes. Then, I wouldn’t even care that my favorite X-Men character Cyclops wasn’t in it anymore.

    • A shared Universe that unfolded over something like twenty years all planned out. That would have been awesome. But, this is comics and unfortunately Marvel sold itself when they sold the rights, Fox and Sony are making sensible if shortsighted moves.

  26. Some good comments here, not bias, or fanboy at least.

This movie does look like it isn’t adding up to anything good. First Class had potential to explore the young characters, having stuck with that director (wasn’t broke, don’t fix it) and having a story revolving around them only, not cramming in the older movie cast, then it would be something much more appealing. People have moved on from the earlier movies, I thought that was the point of rebooting it?!!! Singer swept in and took control, because he probably thinks he has to redeem himself. I remember him saying he had to make up for how bad The Last Stand was.

There could have been a better sequel here if they understood how First Class was opening up an area for there to be different actors doing different things with the characters, maybe much more exciting and interesting and just new, at least.

  27. That picture of Quicksilver with the little girl is just plain creepy…

  28. I think the hair mystery its just a diferent camera angle +/or the fire light.
