Classic X-Men Intro In Stop Motion

After over 4,000 individual photos, Reckless Abandonment Pictures director, Kyle Roberts, spent two months rotoscoping and animating all of the special effects. “I absolutely loved working on the project, to be able to work on something this long… yo’ve gotta love it! I hope it brings back some good memories for the viewers and they enjoy it as much as we did creating it!”

Rejected Pitches: A Christmas Story

  1. those Rejected Pitches people are running that joke into the ground…

  2. the xmen stop motion was great

  3. The girl in the x-men clip is super cute.

  4. Water War was funny. And yet somehow, I feel like that deck might have been rigged in Tom’s favor, him being the celebrity guest and all.

  5. Alright. I’ve had enough of the eagle joke. The Eagles are very proud creatures, as smart as elves or humans, led by Gwaihir. He is a proud bird, descended from the greatest eagle that ever lived. He owes Gandalf a number of favors because Gandalf once saved his life by healing him from a poisoned arrow, so Gandalf saves his favors only for times when he is in dire need.

    • Cool. So first of all, this is an interesting bit of info that many don’t know, and it’s good of you to share it. Setting aside that communal entertainment value however, your wording suggests that we are all foolish not to know this, and that you are exasperated to have to set us all straight. It also sounds like you forgot this is fiction. Perhaps if you worded your insights more conversationally I wouldnt find them a bit silly. You ARE trying to add to the conversation, right, and not just chastise the ignorant? Hope so. Finally, if Gandalf had a super Eagle favor in his back pocket, then we are all the way back to the first plot hole criticism: saving the poor hobbits, however sentimentally uplifting, is not only a poor choice compared to sending them to destroy the ring, but it conflicts with Gandalf’s righteous belief that saving middle earth is so important he will of course send a few innocent hobbits to certain doom and starvation on the off chance they can save everyone. He likes them, but he sends them anyway because their survival is not that important in the scheme of things. Knowing that the ring must be destroyed, why wouldn’t he try to send the Eagles? Do the books explain this? can you? It’s a big hole in the story, and your indignation, I’m afraid. Interesting info though.

  6. The Conan director tapes were great haha.

  7. Great article you’ve written, is this your first website blog or have you been doing this a while?

  8. I like how he used the Michael Jackson, James Bond and Bruce Lee action figures in the X-Men stop motion.

  9. Am I the only one who thinks the “rejected movie pitches” would ACTUALLY be funny if they made fun of BAD movies? Seriously, these videos just get worse and worse.
