X-Men 4: Can Halle Berry Promise It Won’t Stink?

According to Superherohype.com, after having won the People’s Choice Award for “Favorite Female Action Star” Halle Berry was so pleased that fans like her “Storm” character so much that she told them if they really want X-Men 4 to be made, it’s up to them.
Here’s what she said:
“You guys really love X-Men? Ok, here’s what you have to do. Write letters. Every one of you in this building who love X-Men and want to see X-Men 4, write a letter to Tom Rothman at Fox and tell him so and you will get another one, and I’ll be there too.”
Considering how fairly weak X-Men 3 was (yes, I gave it 3 out 5 stars, but I was in a generous mood that day) and the fact that generally speaking, each consecutive sequel in a series gets worse than the previous film, I won’t be blasting any emails off any time soon clamoring for another movie. Maybe if they brought Bryan Singer back to helm it, but he’s probably going to have his hands full with the Superman sequel.
I find it funny that Halle actually won the award considering how awful her performance was in X3. Of course considering the competition was Uma Thurman in My Super Ex-Girlfriend which was no doubt pretty awful and Kate Beckinsale in Underworld: Evolution which had a lot fewer people see it I guess I’m not surprised.

hey honestly….I loved Xmen 3 and i hope they continue making Xmen movies cuz u cant go wrong with xmen…the only problem i see was 1.Didnt use colossus alot when he kicks ass, they used that dumb kitty more then colossus….2.they killed cyclopes which whom is the leader (not wolverine) seriously that was a dumb move…3.they need gambit cuz everyone loves him…4.they need to focus on other characters not just wolverine…they say theres a movie for just wolverine comin out when this whole time all the movies are always based on him…5.Pyro vs iceman fight coulda been better…6.Make an XMEN 4 Movie!!!!
one more thing….if they take off wolverine in the next movies…that would be the biggest n most stupidest mistake…not just on my part but many fans will be so pisst…dont expect to make alot of money…wolverine is needed…i dont care if they think they are alike they need both gambit and wolverine…and p.s they should use apokalips as the villain
LOL, there is NO way they would attempt an X-Men movie without Wolverine. He’s been the main and most popular character in the franchise.

I think since the actors are gettin to old they should make this one like a 2n a half hour to 3 hour movie so they can focus a lil more on all characters and incase its the last one make it the best…hopefully they get started on it right away
I think that with each movie the XMEN saga has gotten better. 2 was good, 2 was great and 3 was even better, and hopefully if they make a 4th it will be even better then the 3rd.-tye

I liked the first two movies the best but the 3rd was a disappointment. I really wanted Gambit to be in the movie. Bobby and Rogue UHH?? I hate that pairing. I want ROMY, ROMY, ROMY!!!!! Romy is a Rogue and Remy pairing. Please Please I want to at least see Gambit in the movie. After Wolverine he the best loved male character on Xmen. So even if all he does is just flirt with
rogue at would satisfy many of the angry female xmen fans. ROMY 4ever!!!!!!!!!
i thought that the director 4rm the first and second movie did the best job… i mean the Dark Phoenix is supposed 2 b beautiful and deadly. they got the deadly part right, but she wuz by no means beautiful when she unleashed her powers. how cum in the 2nd movie when Jean uses her powers her eyes flare up with fire and all that firey jazz?!?! and then here cums the 3rd one and her eyes r black and all that stuff. i thought that the 3rd wuz extremly weak and it cud hav been done soooo much better.
i mean did the guy even watch the other movies 2 c wut he wuz working with. and why dont they give Rouge her real powers already?!? and killing Scott and Professor X wuz a really dumb move. Professor X found a way bak, and Jean is the Phoenix so she can cum bak anytime (i mean she dies and cums bak so many times in the comics), but how is Scott gonna cum bak?!?!
i luv the x-men and the movies were awesome (x-1 and x-2) and the 3rd 1 wuz sum wut acceptable. and when they showd the Professor X wuz still alive at the end of 3 and Magneto’s powers were starting 2 return that obviously hinted 2 me that they were seriously thinking bout another movie.
i think that they r trying 2 catch us off gaurd mayb, or get us all workd up so that when the next movie is announced we will b so excited that we will 4get the disaster of the 3rd movie and rush out 2 c the next one.

In a nut shell..all has been said. Weak lines and even weak character playing for characters that we know are much stronger. I don’t know what the deal was with Storm getting kicked around like that but that was the worst it should have never happened again. And yes bring on the Gambit and leave the undertones of prejudice of displaying characters strengths out……Dark PhX. could of used a little more wind with the hair. I have seen more personality in a music video come on I don’t blame her I blame the people behind the scences……….who’s trying to destroy the franchise

I was disappointed in losing so many main characters in X 3. At the end I thought I saw the Chess piece tremble when Magneto was playing. Although waking from a dream would be a quick old way to bring them all back, I doubt the fans would buy it. The cure could be temporary or someone could invent a medicine to reverse it. This would solve a lot of script problems. I guess the pheonix could be reborn, but I don’t see how your going to reassemble the professor. I would like to see X Men 4 and several to follow.

Yes, the chess piece did tremble indicating Magneto’s powers were not completely gone and I guess you didn’t stay for the end of the credits regarding Professor X and the fact that his consciousness went into the body of a formerly comatose man.

i would like it if they made a nex x-men in the making it would be great for me but this time the need to make it more terrfing and more fights as such i also would like to new characters such as gambot jubilee and rouge being able to fly storm in her natural white castume and being able to fly more in the film i would be happy for a fourth x-men
I actually like Halle as Storm but at the same time she is missing something from the cartoons. I would had like better to see Janet Hubert-Whitten doing this paper since match more the physical to the one on the cartoons.. but Halle is Ok not that bad… they should give more action to her.. like on X3 they deleted the best scene of the movie. they should do it like x1 that you had an option on the DVD to see the movie with or without the delete scene
I think x-men 4 would be great but I think people are missing the crucial point. Fox contracted x-men through Marvel before the explosion for hero movies (aka before Spiderman). Fox also only contracted through Marvel for 3 movies and at a time when Marvel needed the cash… so what does that mean? Well to put it plainly it means Fox will have to dish out majior $$ for rights to a fourth. Marvel has already announced that they will start making their own movies so rights won’t be given away willy nilly to outside companies.
It also seemed to me that knowing this the xmen 3 movie sure did try to kill off as many charaters as possible making it hard for Marvel to jump in and make another xmovie without some serious thought and reviving of lost characters *ehm Cyclops*
I do think it is very likly that Marvel would offer xmen again for the right price because they will be busy with the Hulk and Captain America. Sombody else paying them and doing the work is better for the bottum line (in the short run anyway)
I hope the next movie will give storm the spotlight she deserves, this time as the new leader of xaviers school. I would also hope the teens would get more camera because im tired of it all being about wolverine. For instance, when storm fights, she is always getting slammed around and she is never given a chance to fight back or show some extent of her powers besisdes one tornado and a little lightning here and there. Same with bobby, in the games he is more powerful than he is in the movie. Especially rouge, Rouge is able to fly but the rarely show her in parts of the movies. The phoenix should be able to bring scott back, because phoenix is able to use one of her extreme powers called ” From the ashes”. Most importantly i just want to give halley berry a chance to use alot of her powers as much as directors give hugh jackman all of the fighting scences. After all in the comics, she is considered a goddess, so why not give storm a much stronger and superior image, instead of making storm weak as if she has never used the danger room. Cuz im just tired of her being the one that gets slammed around in a fight and is never being able to fight back by using her realy good powers and combat.Like at alcatraz, they were at an island so why wasnt she aloud to create a wave or a hurricane. What ever the directors do, plz dont give halley a mohawk! that lady is too pretty to try to give her a mohawk. be given a mohawk. instead the should give here the white suit like in the xmen series. That is where the directors mess up, they only focus on wolverine. And not the actual important characters. That is why i am glad FOX is doing a wolverine, so directors can finally say that its time to start working on the real important characters like phoenix, charles, magneto, storm and the teens. Lets just pray that they will make halle have her goddess powers and not be so weak and make the teens more stonger as a group.Als lets pray that everyone signs a 3 year movie contract like before to do a whole new trilogy.

Ok,, so listen up,, X3 was a very good movie.. it was like the last Matrix. It was the last fight. Peopel are so lame come on dont anyone get it. Well i dont care what people say, I loved X3 and i Soo hope they make X4. This time guys dont forget about Gambit. Looks like this thread has been dead since July. Well, this is the first I have seen of it so I will give my 2 1/2 cents.
I like all 3 X-Men movies and felt the last was the worst of the 3. The reason I felt is was the worst was the Dark Phoenix character was a lot different than the comic, which isn’t totally bad but it could have been better. Prof. X’s character was a lot different than his character from the previous movies (he seemed more out of touch in the last movie). Magneto would not have left Mystique in the trailer, he would have taken her and tried to find a way to reverse the so-called cure. I thought #3 had a lot more action but the Juggernaut was kinda lame (only because I know the comic).
I didn’t read all of the posts here but I do know there are a lot of comicbook nerds like me. Why has no one mentioned Bishop? If an X-Men 4 is to be done, I feel Bishop should be a main theme. For those who don’t know, Bishop is from the future and journeys back to our present to prevent a tragedy (in the comic, it’s to prevent an assassination of Xavier but in the cartoon, it’s to prevent the assassination of the president). The new movie can be about Bishop preventing Jean Grey from becoming Dark Phoenix, thus preventing the deaths of all 3 of them (this can be done through new technology or Bishop can bring another mutant who can remove the dark persona). ALso, Bishop is a mutant who can channel kinetic energy and release it back upon the person who hit him with it.
Does that give me more nerd points?

I WASN’T HAPPY WITH THE IDEA OF TAKING OUT CYCLOPS AND THE PROFESSOR; AND DEFINITELY DID NOT LIKE HOW THEY DESTROYED JUGGERNAUTS CHARACTER. MY PLOT ( X-MEN 4 COMING OF DARK TIMES.)
Xavier returns and but in in someone else’s body. but this time his psychic powers are more powerful. The cure is a failure and mutants begin to regain their mutant powers. Some mutants go on a rampage about the failed cure threatening innocent civilians and the x-men for being traitors to their course. news breaks out.
Magneto regains his powers but this time lays low. Wolverine,Beast and Storm are now in charge of the Xavier Institute and for their courage, and are funded by the government especially for the welfare of the mutant children.
The mutant revenge threat occurs in the Xavier institute at night time. Beast and Logan are in the danger room while Angel and Storm with the help of Iceman,Colossus,Rogue,Shadowcat and some Mutant kids help in battling the mutants. Wolverine and Beast are later alerted and fight them off. The attakers escape but one is somehow caught by an familiar visitor – NIGHTCRAWLER.
President is later informed by the x-men about the attack and extra security is provided for the Xavier’s Institute. More mutants realising that the cure is a failure realise the opportunity of another mutant superiority threat like MAGNETO’S. X-men suspect Magneto is behind the attacks and ask for NIGHTCRAWLER to stay with the X-men. NIGHTCRAWLER claims that similar incidents of mutants going beserk and strange anomalies happening in Germany that also disturb his interdimensional travel. Xavier returns and explains how his mutant ability helped restore his cousiousness and also explains that he too has been feeling similar effects as NIGHTCRAWLER and reckons that there is a threat much greater than the mutants. Storm and Beast explain that several months after the Alcatraz incident there have been some strange weather phenomenal activity and her STORMS powers have sort of altered like she was getting stronger and there were cases of certain mutants disappearing around the world and no clues of how and why.
Mystiques regains her powers and encounters Magneto but in her human form but he later asks her to reveal her true self, which she does- saying she is already aware of the ‘THE CURE’ failure. MAGNETO asks her if she wishes to join his new brotherhood having mutants such as PYRO, AVALANCHE AND THE BLOB. But MYSTIQUE does not take the offer to join Magneto’s brotherhood and new plans for mutant liberation,claiming she has got her hands on more powerful information regarding the government and secret plans for mutants but she wants to handle her the case on her own terms and that MAGNETO should remember that he is still a wanted fugitive and she could give him up again if she had to. MAGNETO backs out.
It is later revealed that when Mystique gave herself up exposing Magneto’s attack plans on ALCATRAZ,she her regained her powers not so long ago but pretended that she was still pretended to be human and kept a good record of her interrogators an managed to steal valuable data at the sametime regarding the fact that there was no suspicion of her. This was becuase Mystique had exposed so much about MAGNETO and his agendas, that considered a human, they decided to later release under minor supervision. Mystique used this opportunity to pretend as one of the interrogators wife, thereby murdering the real wife to get information on deeper sides in the governmentknowing he had access to them.
It was the perfect time for Mystiques plan considering the upcoming mutant threat, the interrogator, whom trusting to his wife reveals many, but what intrieges MYSTIQUE mainly is a secret project named GENOSHA she had overheard during her interrogation experience.
MYSTIQUE learns about a secret government base called GENOSHA.She also learns that the
GENOSHA facility inhabited mutants who participated in top secret scientifical and technological projects. Majority of these mutants where from the mutant registration act similar to the list in “lady deathstrike’s computer in x-men 2- and these mutants were exactly slaves to a secret operation in GENOSHA. She also gets information regarding the fact that Mr Worthington (ARCHANGEL’S FATHER) is one of its employees. She also learnt that this time it would be difficult for anyone to infiltrate a facility and that WILLIAM STRYKER was a former member of THE GENOSHA PROJECT as well so the facility probably had advanced equipment to pin point any unauthorised entry – including SHAPE SHIFTING mutants. As mutant problems still escalated on the news around the world, the president announced on television, for everyone to stay calm claiming that there is no mutant takeover crisis and there are those like HENRY McCOY AND THE X-MEN who will fight for the good of mankind. The INTERROGATOR watching the news, with his wife(MYSTIQUE NOW)at home condemns the president for allying with mutants and funding the safeguard of the Xavier Institute, as he greatly despises mutants and out of reckless anger brags about how soon the government has a plan called “M.P.P” project that will successfully secure the wipe out of every mutant once and for all and secure safety for everyone- so he will not have to witness his children associate with mutants. He also brags that the US SECRET government is finally listeneing to the people of UNITED STATES, making the country fully in worldwide control against all threats, not just mutants- with its top secret government projects (GENOSHA).
(by the way M.P.P stands for MUTANT PREVENTION PROCEDURE- mutant with psychic and interdimensional powers are used to time travel so as to exterminate all known mutants before their early stage of mutant transformation. These mutants would obviously be controlled using WILLIAM’S STRYKERS mutant manipulative procedures to volunteer for such a project.
MYSTIQUE with her intelligence gets the a map of the location to GENOHSA from the INTERROGATOR and realises that is facility posing as a pretend military engineering facility. Nothing to be suspicious about – although still heavilly guarded. Inside lay the secret Genoshan facility. Mystique decides to pose a top US reporter ,killing the original, to broadcast a shocking report worldwide about the US SECRET government using mutants as slaves for top secret project and that the military engineering facility is really much bigger than what it seems and it lay advanced technology to make the US much more of a threat to all other nations. MYSTIQUE is successful at broadcasting the news with the help of past allies TOAD AND SABRETOOTH, revealling accusations damaging to THE UNITED STATES worldwide. This shocking report is broadcast at a location where the facility is visible on television. The shocking report soon gets world wide, Majority of Mutants around the world are furious about the accusations, some go into hiding especailly at the Xavier’s Institute. A great majority of human supporters riot as well encouraging the exposed secret plans to wipe out the mutant race. This news also damages the United States as a nation as other countries such as Russia and members of the United Nations feel betrayed by the US government planing further action to control the whole world using unimaginable technology such as time travel and mutant power inhibitors etc. The result of the accusations are more damaging as religious issues are also affected involing the accusations of using time travel where religious leaders accuse the United States of using its powers to change God’s doing. America is in crisis , riots occur on all sides, humans riot at the Xavier Institute supporting the secret project, violent mutant activities occur world wide but greatly in the States. Some students in fear of the Xavier’s Institute being attacked flee the institute.
Magneto’s powers are also affected by the strange phenomena and he has plans involving the infiltration of GENOSHA to gain powers that will suit mainly him and the brotherhood making mutants superior worldwide.
The reporter(MYSTIQUE)is classed as a traitor and is in fear of murder attempts. The reporter in fear goes to the Xavier’s Institute to speak to henry McCoy and gives information about what she knows about GENOSHA. But she is not permitted to stay in the Institute as for fear of attack due to her actions that has put the nation in crisis. Beast tries to encourage her to stay but she refuses saying she fears for the safety of the mutant children. the reporter(MYSTIQUE) flees from state but is aware of being tailed by government officials. To lose their tail she transforms into someone else and travels back to locate TOAD and SABRETOOTH in finding the body of the original reporter so it can be dumped somewhere were it will be later discovered and reported on the news. News that the reporter has been assassinated goes out. Making the accusations about GENOSHA seem more true and the situation escalates even further.
