YAY! I heart the turtles. All 3 live action movies were good (the first was the best) and i even enjoyed the animated "TMNT". Looking forward to this movie

@Haggislaw
Glad you like the pic!

@tasouli
The producer of the film has said previously that they will be using a combination of live-action and CGI for the Turtles. I agree with you that Guillermo del Toro would be a good addition to the film. He knows how to do action, and I think his track record on creature features speaks for itself. Of course, it won't happen, but we can still dream.

I think they should go darker this time round and lessen the "cheeziness" of the series + up the "cool" factor with a lot of mind-blowing over-the-top kung fu action that no "human" can perform even with the help of high wires. They are after all, mutants. They were raised in a sewer by a rat for god's sake... I don't think it gets any darker than that. Maintaining the personalities of the turtles from the series on a darker plate should be the challenge.

They need to take cues from the first film. That movie still holds up to this day and being a kids flick, it was really gritty. It was like an 80s Kung Fu flick but for kids.

I hope CGI is allowed in this new Live Action version, 'cause the turtles were always kind of slow on their feet...

Loved the turtles growing up and the first turtle movie was well done, the next two stunk. Ifthey stick away from making the turtles CGI and have actual people behind the costumes it may work. I think for a film like this you need to get someone like Peter Jackson, G Del Toro, or even Tim Burton to assist in some way. I am not saying they need to direct, but maybe produce and aid in the cinematography of the film. A film like this needs a visionary mind behind the wheel otherwise it can turn into a big sloppy mess.
I think that 2 important casts for the movie will be for the characters of April and Kasey. These are the two good human actors in the movie and if they cast good actors to play them it will definetly help the film in the long run.
