  1. Monsters inc 2
    The heat
    World war z
    Superman
    White House down
    Star Trek

  2. I love Anthony and his comments.

  3. I think the Amazing Spider-Man has so much potential as a Franchise because outside of Batman Spider-Man has the best Rogues Gallery IMO. The Sinister Six would be a great story line plus if you add Black Cat & Venom into the Universe it would be great SpinOff potential. I think Felicia Hardy being in Amazing Spider-Man 2 makes more sense then Mary Jane because if you brought Mary Jane in so early it would seem more like rehashing, so by pushing Mary Jane to the 3rd one it would be telling a different story between Black Cat & Spider-Man. I do hope Shailene Woodley didn’t get cut from the movie based on fan backlash because she is a girl next door type and that what Mary Jane is suppose to be.

Rumor has it that Colm Feore is playing Adrian Toomes aka Vulture.

    • I REALLY want to see them do Venom justice this round – the Venom/Carnage storyline is one of my favorites from the comic series.

      • I agree having Venom get it’s proper due would be great & I’ve always been a fan of Venom, it will be interesting this time around if they bring in Carnage to make Venom into more of a Anti-Hero.

I think I’m more excited to see Black Cat especially with what Anne Hathaway was able to do as Catwoman, this might be a way we get to see more of that character type in a spin-off.

  4. I hope that Masters of Evil theory plays out. Also a good way to bring back long lost Incredible Hulk characters such as Abomination and Leader. I was hoping for the longest time they would show up again. Along with Red Skull, where has he been all this time?
As for Amazing Spider-Man 2, I want Kangaroo, Gibbon and the Terrible Tinkerer. Just kiddin, I’m with Kofi about Jackal, that’d be awesome. Then bring in Carrion and all that supernatural crap. Hell, they could bring back whats his face from Spider-Man 2 as the Man Wolf, who teams up with Morbius, then fights Spider-Man and Blade like Rob mentioned. Lol.

    • I don’t think we’ll be seeing Red Skull again. Hugo Weaving made it pretty clear that he was done and did not have an interest in returning again. They could always recast him but Red Skull isn’t important enough, respectively, to the larger shared universe movie storyline.

  5. 1 Monsters U.
    2 Man o’ Steel
    3 WWZ
    4 White House Down
    5 The Heat

    10 Internship

    • do you think spiderman would work better as a tv show?

      • I used to love the animated Spider-Man series but I’m not sure that I’d want a live-action TV series – mainly because the films really capture the high-flying web-slinging effects (not to mention feature interesting villains). That kind of thing is too costly for a network TV show – so we’d get a few shots of Spider-Man dropping in and a batch of human-ish enemies for him to fight (think: Doomsday in Smallville).

That said, there would be PLENTY of material for a CW-like show if they wanted. I don’t really want a smaller and less-exciting (not to mention melodramatic) version of Spider-Man.

        • I was thinking more of an expensive hbo/fx/amc show because amazing spiderman didnt give me a reason to think it needed to be a movie or was anything special, hopefully the sequel will.

  6. 1 – Monsters University
    2 – The Heat
    3 – White House Down
    4 – World War Z
    5 – Man of Steel
    10 – The Internship

  7. Kofi,y like The Voice!!?? SMH :-(

  8. An extra long podcast would’ve been worth it for a special belated Game Rant E3 news brief! There’s a lot of good stuff to talk about!

But I really enjoyed WWZ and I don’t think the third act comes THAT far from left field since the ghosting solution is hinted at a few times throughout most of the movie. I was really hoping for more Matthew Fox though.

    • We could have probably done a GR brief this week, our call was pretty long but we took a break in the middle, so I thought the actual podcast was longer than it turned out to be. We really shoot for around 2 hours but almost always get caught-up talking about something longer than we intended.

I’ll try and set time aside (for real) in episode 98 for us to talk about our experiences at E3 and subsequent opinions on the show and next-gen reveals.

      • No pressure! :)

  9. I wonder if there is any chance of seeing an alternate cut on Blu-ray, provided the original ending had enough material, of course.

Also, Ben… , the next time Kofi tries to honor a recently deceased actor (hopefully not anytime soon) please don’t cut him short in your amazement that Rob has to watch two acclaimed shows from his list of shame at once. ;)

    Gandolfini deserved better. :(

    • In fairness, it wasn’t intentional. The Skype call sometimes makes it hard to hear everyone when we’re talking at the same time. So, it wasn’t like I was consciously cutting him short ;)

I’m sure we’ll get to talk more about Gandolfini when Rob reports back on The Sopranos.

  10. world war z was meh. Did not really like the fast moving zombies but it did look pretty cool. The family part was the most annoying part of the movie.

Although there was this one dude that was texting write below me for like the last 5min of the movie i really just wanted to take his phone and smash it into millions of pieces. That light was so damn distracting

  11. Monsters University
    The Heat
    World war Z
    Man of Steel
    White House Down
    Star Trek Into Darkness

I really enjoyed War World Z, it was a difficult film to adapt, and all the troubles in production it had, it turned out highly entertaining..

  12. #1 White House Down
    #2 The Heat
    #3 Monsters University
    #4 Man of Steel
    #5 World War Z
    #10 The Purge

  13. 1. Monsters U
    2. WWZ
    3. Whitehouse down
    4. MoS
    5. The heat
    10 the purge

  14. Love your show, guys. It’s on my must list every week. The dynamic of the four editors really works and each lends his own unique perspective on the topic at hand.

One small gripe: Kofi is one of my favorites on the show, especially since he is one of the few people who shared my hatred of Iron Man 3 and for exactly my reasons. However, Kofi, you need to remember one thing!

The director of The Avengers is JOSS Whedon, not JOSH Whedon!

Keep up the good work, guys!
