Star Trek opens May 8th, not May 9th!

@Fwise

Oops! Thanks for catching that – it’s been corrected.

“According to some folks sitting next to me, they were a little ruffled at what they showed in this new trailer. I won’t blow it for you because when you see this scene, you probably won’t realize what you’re seeing, but it is definitely a new Trek-verse.”

Bruce, your killing me!

Did the producers of “Watchmen” put you up to that? ;)

JustDavid says:

Hey Bruce;

Tell me, were there any major spoilers in this new trailer coming out? It sounds a little like your hinting at something.

I’m trying to avoid all spoilers so I can be pleasantly surprised (or pleasantly horrified) when I see the film in theaters.

Thanks, David.

crowmagnumman says:

I read the trailer description at Trekmovie.com, and I’d recommend avoiding it. There’s one particularly huge spoiler Bruce is referring to that I think you’d rather see in theaters first.

David, crowmagnumman says it best. Yes, I’m hinting at things that you may have no clue about, but it is really best left to the surprise of discovering it in the theater… dang. It would have blown me away, that’s for sure. Oh… sorry. I’m tormenting again, aren’t I?

Anyone else: try not to give it away here, OK?

@JustDavid

When this trailer comes out you’ll have to stay off the internet until the movie comes if you don’t want to read or see anything about a spoiler that is included in a trailer. Just warning ya man.

Lee-Unit says:

I won’t ruin anything.

I have a good idea of what the spoiler is. I doubt that it’s exactly what people are saying it is. I don’t think JJ would change THAT about the Trek universe.

That is all.

Mandarr says:

Dangit. How am I supposed to avoid the spoiler in the trailer if I intend to see Watchmen? Should I close my eyes and plug my ears to the best of my ability? Not sure if that will be possible. I wish they wouldn’t put spoilers into trailers to begin with.

@Mandarr

I haven’t seen the trailer, but really, how much of a spoiler would they put in a trailer? Perhaps Bruce is referring to not wanting to spoil the TRAILER for readers.

Hehe…

Here’s the thing:
You can assume the crash position during the previews – head down between the knees and yell out loud na na na na… so you can’t hear anything.

That should go over well with your seat neighbors…

but the thing is, it’s a spoiler, IF you know what it is you’re seeing. They don’t come out and blather out that they’re goi…. oh, never mind.

John "Kahless" Taylor says:

I KNOW WHAT IT IS! I KNOW WHAT IT IS! The trailer will reveal….drum roll please….that Kirk’s parents were…Tribbles! ;-)

The first DNA merging of two different species, resulting in a half-Human, half Tribble crewmember?

“Crewman Tribble, what have I told you about eating at your duty station?”

“(**chomp, chomp, gulp!**) Um, not to do it?”

If you can imagine Tribbles with Vulcan ears…

JustDavid says:

Thanks everybody :)

There is this little cave up in the hills along the Delaware, maybe the bear won’t mind some company…
