Warner Bros. has released a new Wonder Woman poster today, along with details regarding next week's fan screenings. Anticipation is running high for this summer's Wonder Woman film, starring Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. Comic book fans have been waiting decades to see the Princess of Themyscira on the big screen, and their dreams were realized last year with Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, when Gadot made her debut as the Amazon princess.

Gadot is scheduled to reprise her role as Wonder Woman in Snyder's Justice League later this year. But before she joins Bruce Wayne in searching for the world's finest heroes, fans will join her in World War I for her origin story. Based on a script by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and stars the likes of Chris Pine, Connie Nielson, Danny Huston, Robin Wright, and David Thewlis. It won't be long before moviegoers see the next chapter in the DC Extended Universe, lucky fans may be able to check it out early.

Ahead of Wonder Woman's release, Warner Bros. will be hosting fan screenings in cities across North America on Wednesday, May 24. Attendance is free, but tickets are released on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a particular screening is sold out, you may also sign up for the show's wait-list. There's no harm in trying, considering that seeing the film will be free. Along with fan-screening details, the studio has also released a new poster for the movie, featuring the iconic Lasso of Truth front-and-center. Take a look:

The Lasso of Truth is only one of many of Wonder Woman's unique powers and abilities, though this particular power has more to do with the equipment she uses. Although the origin story featured in the upcoming film will deviate slightly from the character's established comic book history, the essence of what makes Wonder Woman so wondrous will remain very much intact.

The above poster is the latest in series of promotional materials to release within the past few weeks. As we get closer to the movie's release date, the studio has been ramping up their marketing, which includes an impressively drawn international poster. While there are plans to screen the superhero flick for fans next week, Warners has already shown it off to press -- and the reactions have been positive thus far. Furthermore, with advanced tickets already on sale, Wonder Woman's opening weekend projections are continuing to rise. If everything goes smoothly, the studio will likely follow through on their plans to produce a sequel someday in the future.
