Wolverine Iron Man Anime Cast Adrian Pasdar Milo Ventimiglia Heroes Stars To Voice Wolverine & Iron Man Anime

WonderCon is happening and from it, we’re getting the latest superhero news in movies and television. Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb was on hand at the event and had some special casting news to share with fans yesterday about the America versions of their hit anime Wolverine and Iron Man cartoons.

As it turns out, the two Marvel heroes will be voiced by two literal ‘Heroes.’ That is, two stars of NBC’s done-and-over-it Heroes series.

Adrian Pasdar and Milo Ventimiglia, who played brothers Nathan Petrelli and Peter Petrelli respectively in Heroes‘ four season run will each voice a lead for the anime series. Pasdar will voice Tony Stark/Iron Man and Ventimiglia will play everyone’s favorite adamantium-enhanced mutant, Wolverine.

Loeb had the following to say about the casting selections:

“Adrian and Milo are perfect as Iron Man and Wolverine. It’s extremely exciting to see these talented guys take on two of the most iconic Super Hero roles of all time.”

Both actors have solidified themselves as parts of American comic book culture with their heroic, super-powered roles in Heroes and are easy to get behind as leads for the television projects. Ventimiglia even has his own comic series.

As for matching up voices with the characters we are familiar with, Pasdar is pitch-perfect for Tony Stark although Ventimiglia doesn’t have the husky, dark voice of Wolverine we’re accustomed to. For the sleeker, younger-looking Japanese version of the character, it can work for me.

Wolverine Iron Man Anime Shows 280x393 Heroes Stars To Voice Wolverine & Iron Man Anime

The shows both involve Japan-based storylines with Stark travels to the Land of the Rising Sun to take on the Zodiac Organization and Wolverine battles the criminal underworld.

In the U.S., the Iron Man and Wolverine anime shows will air exclusively on G4, and they’ll eventually be followed by the Blade and X-Men anime series as well.

Are you a fan of the anime variants of these Marvel heroes?

  1. adrian pasdar is perfect for Iron Man
i’ll buy ventimiglia when i see it though.

    • Yup.

    • You mean when you hear it. ;)

  2. Rob, do you know when they’ll show on G4?

  3. The Wolverine one looks too far extreme for my liking, but the Iron Man one looks very well done

    • I agree. I’m not a fan of that style of extreme unbelievable anime design of Wolverine. Iron Man is almost the same as his movie variant so I’m more onboard with that.

  4. I said it before, I’m saying it now, the Wolverine anime does not look like Wolverine at all to me. Iron Man looks fine, but the character in Wolverine is too tall and too slim.

  5. iron man the series looks cool, but the wolverine one–soooo weird. does not even look like the character. i was wondering when wolverine was going to show up till i saw the claws out. and what’s up with the classic japanese spirit forces? Not a part of the wolverine culture in any way shape or form. unacceptable.

  6. A tall and linky Wolverine with a mullet is NOT Wolverine! I won’t be watching that abominable trash. I also would love to see when Hollywood finally gets an actor that is closer to Wolverine’s actual height too. Although he isn’t 5’3”, Mel Gibson would’ve been perfect if he was 20 years younger.

  7. The Wolverine character is actually based off of the similarities of the actual “wolverine” animal. They are short, small and stocky BUT HIGHLY FORMIDABLE AND FEROCIOUS! That’s why a tall Wolverine just doesn’t give the character justice.

  8. Honestly, I like the look of both of these.

    • What!

  9. Oh and wanting a short actor to play Wolverine? How about Tom Cruise? :P

    • Gunner! Ready disruptors and torpedoes!! Program them to fire simultaneously!!!

  10. Don’t know where you got this footage, but it’s not from the Anime series the article is about. I’ve seen the shows when they aired in Japan, and these ain’t them!

    • haha, BUST!
