And with Magneto getting his powers back Prof. X could inhabit him and start off an Onslaught movie. Cyclops can be all amnesiac near Alkali Lake, Emma Frost can find him when Xavier hits his brain with mental energy trying to come back to life and breaks down the barrier over his powers that Phoenix put there, Emma can lie to him and the two of them can try to take the school back over from Storm. This can be done in tandem with a Wolverine follow-up movie as well, making it like a crossover event between the Wolverine movie and the X-Men movie, seeing him briefly while he goes to Japan, encounters Deadpool maybe, who knows what else. OR a Deadpool/Cable prequel movie happens establishing Cable to appear in X-Men 4 where he somehow explains that Xavier's return coincides with the early appearances of Apocalypse for X-Men 5.

I get excited sometimes... the comic continuity is great, I'm reading through it all right now. But at the same time you really do need to change some things around. It would be great if you could have 500 X-Men movies faithfully reproducing the comic universe, but they are working within a much smaller scope and need to compensate. Do accomplish full accuracy to the comics you would need a live action X-Men TV show... try convincing Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ryan Reynolds, etc. that THAT is a more beneficial idea than making movies...

I also think about Uncanny X-Men Issue #40 and understand why it's not ALWAYS best to respect the comics 100%...

After the credits of X3 there's one last scene where Dr. Moira MacTaggert is checking on a coma patient and you here Xavier's voice say hello to her; some kind of foreshadowing for Dr. X coming back for another film.

please no japan Miller helped kill wolvie in the comics he is was based on an animal and his pick a flower to smell it and jap honor etc was stupid!! It was a slap in the face it would be like superman rapeing etc it just goes against the character. wolvie as much as I loved his character (by Byrne) he is best example of one that lived past his prime (case in point keeping him around till he becomes a samiri??!!!what??!!) and then they say he been around since moses?? and for those who remember the comic were in a future x-men when wolvie was killed by sentinals. it showed his claws were springs etc he was built. then they have were the claws were bone!!?? and in the movie they go with this god awful idea is one thing but they show his bone claws look like fingers without skin and when give him the metal they're all sharp and styled??!! and he goes through the process of that no problem keeps his memories but at the end of the movie a admatium bullet to his skull and he loses his memories but keeps same personality??!! I gave up on the comic wolvie at the point of the 'honor' etc and bone claws. He was a great charcter when he was a mystery and savage (like teh singer pink when dyes her hair black - hello??!!) he supposed to be an animal savage not becoming Myogi from the karate kid if want that then shave all the hair off and change his name to something not to do with an animal. and as for sequals in should be Alphs flight then from there he goes to the x-men. wolvie was a charcter we didn't need to know he dad took away his tricle and that made him agry to much infromation!

i don't feel he was a bad actor, but not good choice for role.(i really just don't like that guy) but horrible choices for roles in this movie were storm and rouge for sure.

I'm not sure how they could make a fourth X-Men film without Prof. Xavier. Now I never followed the comics too closely, but I am pretty sure that Xavier wasn't killed off. That being said, I would love another X-Men film as LONG AS BRETT RATNER IS NOWHERE NEAR THE DIRECTOR'S CHAIR! Bring back Singer. If that's not possible, I like the Japan idea as Wolverine 2, not a seperate X-Men film.

The only real problem I have at this time is the title. X Men Origins: Wolverine II sounds a bit odd to me. I do like the Japan angle, and, if anyone remembers Marvel published a little "prequel" to the X-Men film "just before" the events of that film. Although it would be non-canon to the films) Silver Samurai figures into Logan's past. Anyone remember that?

So I'm all for the storyline. Since it is also a "sequel" it can fit also still be a "prequel". In addition, since Gambit is supposedly NOT part of First Class, could Gambit carry over into the Wolverine sequel? Indeed, non-mutant Yuriko in the comics has had a modest "thief" rivalry with Gambit.

Mutants to see? Silver Samurai, Sunspot and Sunfire.

who knows what they'll call it.

@Josh, how exactly is the continuity 'butchered'?

I'm only interested in him returning to the Wolverine role if it's a proper sequel to X3. FOX has already butchered the continuity, so there's nothing that says Wolverine can't go to Japan after being in the X-Men.
