I love living in Florida! We have everything here at our fingertips – great beaches, lots of oranges, mosquitoes, more retired folk than you can shake a stick at, people who have a hard time understanding how to vote properly, and, the crème de la crème, theme parks!
One of the major theme parks located in Orlando, Florida is Universal Studios and it’s not often that movie websites like ours focus on a new attraction being built in there. That is unless the new attraction is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, a park that costs over $200 million to build.
Today we have two behind the scenes videos of the latest attraction and they give us a quick glimpse into the world of fantasy that Production Designer Stuart Craig (who designed all the Harry Potter films) has transferred from book to film and then from film to theme park attraction.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the construction set pictures or the first look at pictures from inside the Harry Potter theme park, be sure you go back after watching the videos and watch them; you will not regret it.
From the replication of the of the Room of Requirement to Hagrid’s Hut outside Hogwarts, to the portraits of past wizards hanging in the Dungeon Passageway (click on each to see the picture), Craig and his team of designers appear to have absolutely nailed the recreation and feel of the Harry Potter movies. Come back here often for updates on this amazing new attraction because there is sure to be lots of new and exciting information released as we get closer to opening day.
Are you excited about visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando when it opens this summer?
