Hey gang, thanks for entering, commenting and retweeting – here are the winners:

I’ll be sending each of you a DM to let you know how to get your hat. Thanks to everyone who entered!

It’s time for another Screen Rant giveaway, and this one’s pretty cool: You just never know when you may have to face down a ravenous flesh-eating zombie in your own life, so Screen Rant is giving away 5 Real Deal Brazil zombie-killing hats, the same hardy headwear worn by an AK-47-totin’ Woody Harrelson as he whups undead butt in Zombieland!

I’ve got me one of these killer hats (yeah, that’s me on the right) and I’m ready to back Woody up. Are YOU ready to defend yourself from the impending zombie hordes? icon smile Win Woody Harrelsons Zombie Killin Hat From Zombieland Winners!

Hailing from a remote town in equatorial Brazil, these heady head-toppers are handmade from recycled tarps that once covered the beds of cross-country cargo trucks hauling open freight, from the steamy Amazon out to the bustling coast. Thus these hats have lived a full lifetime before ever reaching your head, having endured blinding rain, scalding heat, harsh salt winds, flying road debris and much, much more. Fighting off a bunch of the brain-dead undead is like a cakewalk by comparison.

This headwear is not only about as “green” as something canvas-colored can get – even tarp scraps are reused, sewn as patches onto other hats – it’s also uncommonly hard to hurt, holding up to just about any abuse that you, or any zombies you may meet, might think to throw at it.

No two RDB hats can ever be alike, with variations in canvas colors, holes, frayings, patches, stitching and stains. Some hats even have snippets of Portuguese stamped on them in thick black ink. For a sense of the variety from hat to hat, check out the Real Deal Brazil collage below.

  3. Looks like a very cool movie. I want to see it.

  4. RoastedDuck79 – looking forwar to this one……seems to be audience driven not high brow Hollywood driven which is nice……we get a fun story, fun special effects……..fun gore if I will…….I just can’t wait!!!!

  5. Woody’s movies are always entertaining, and I’m looking forward to seeing him battle zombies! I’m also looking forward to rockin’ the Real Deal hat! Check me out on twitter @imabuddha

  6. I’ll comment hollywood pitch-style. It’s like Grand Theft Auto meets Shaun of the Dead. It’s the anti- 28 days later. I’ll expect to be grossed out while laughing my butt off. They’re aren’t many movies this year that promise this much fun and most likely deliver it. I’m sure every zombie movie lover will like this movie and maybe people who don’t like zombie movies will actually enjoy this. It’s looking like the kind of movie everybody loves, the entertaing kind.

  7. That’s hysterical! I’ve been watching horror movies since I was 3 years old. But I don’t think Twinkies expire. They’re like fruitcake. I’ll go see this.

  9. I’m a zombie nut and I loved Zombieland! Tallahassee was my very favorite part of the film. I’ve been craving Twinkies ever since seeing it.

  10. I watched Zombieland last night at the midnight showing, and it was fantastic. I haven’t laughed that hard at a movie in a long time. The celebrity cameo was just hilarious, and seeing Tallahassee get starstruck over said celebrity was awesome.

Columbus’s rules for surviving in Zombieland have me re-evaluating my zombie plan, and planning to take up running as a hobby.

  12. Zombieland was amazing in that it re-wrote the zombie comedy-adventure genre! The main party stayed alive, the end was that yeah we are living in a best hits nightmare, and the guy gets the girl (and Tallahassee didn’t care! He was cool being buds with Little Rock.)

People who saw it can’t really compare it to ANYTHING. Bill Murray was insane with his surprise cameo that took the entire theater by surprise, and the way it was filmed was fresh!

Overall the film delivered and without a bat to the face, but encompassing the #2 rule: the double tap.

  20. The scene with the fat zombie in the supermarket looks hilarious! I can’t wait to see this movie. I haven’t seen Harrelson in a movie I really liked since Play It To The Bone. Looking forward to seeing him in something good again.

  25. Yah, I already read it… :’(

Still going to watch it, but now won’t have that little bonus… Oh well…

  26. Zombieland looks awesome, I need to find the time to see it. Looks like a funny horror movie, need more of those that don’t take themselves seriously at all.

  27. I’m not even joking when I say that I think Woody deserves a shot at an Oscar nomination. Tallahassee was the best character I’ve seen on the screen this year.

  28. Just saw it…very funny. Obvious comparisons are to “Shawn of the Dead,” but that was more of a comedic homage to zombie movies. This was just a fun zombie movie. Very few jokes fell flat; it was straight-forward and made very well use of the “Chekov’s gun” principle on a few occasions. More than that, it’s Jesse Eisenberg’s first film to released to a wide audience and to have made a lot of money. We’ll see more of him. It’s also nice to see Abigail Breslin rewarded with some broad comedy as opposed to indie comedy. Someone else said it was the anti-28 Days Later, and that is a very good comparison.

  29. I thought I had this one in the bag, but I got beat out by a guy with bad grammar.
