I would love to win this because i love the actors
  • Why would I like to win? Because I can't help but love Kilmer and Gooding Jr. in...well, everything. You might say I'm "hardwired" that way.
  • G Smith
I'd like to win this DVD because it looks like it might be fun to watch.

I have followed Val Kilmer's career every since I saw him in Top Secret. He can do all types of acting, drama, comedy, sci fi. He is really good(ing) LOL

Cuba Gooding Jr is a well established actor as well. I first saw hime in Gladiator and was admired by his skills. Yes he was fantastic in Jerry Maguire, but the movie What Dreams May Come was fantastic. I thought his scenes with Robin Williams were very special.
  • Why would I want it? Man, anything that has both Michael Ironside AND Lance Henriksen in it can't be THAT bad, can it?
    Can it?
    ;)
  • I love val and I haven't seen this film yet so I'd really like to win
  • steinivalda
Well... I'm a big Sci-fi fan and have liked both the leading actors for a long time despite the direction their careers have taken. Didn't know this film existed til I saw it here, and it looks like a fun sci-fi action flick that would have starred JCVD if it had been made 15 years ago.

But mainly I'm curious to find out why Kilmer's haircut is completely different on the poster and in the trailer.

I'd like to win, because I don't win anything. Plus I haven't seen a good movie with Cuba Gooding since Boat Trip. Show me the B-list money!

There are so many reasons why winning this would be awesome.

First of all, the stars! Iceman and Rod Tidwell, along with Bishop from Aliens and Lt. Rasczak from Starship Troopers. Ironside is the type of actor that can really chew the scenery and make you uncomfortable. Anybody else remember his role in the Machinist as the guy who loses his arm?

Second, the director Ernie Barbarash. While this guy might not be a household name, he's one of the talents behind some of the most original horror films of my lifetime, the Cube series. While so far relegated to working on sequels (American Psycho 2, Stir of Echoes 2) it will be fascinating to see his work on a standalone films such as this one.

Third, the plot! Anybody who liked Total Recall (which featured Ironside as well) of the 6th Day has got to be a little receptive to this film's plot which sounds like it includes science fiction, action, and suspense aplenty.

Finally, law school is killing me right now! This is my last year, and without screen rant contests like this one to divert my mind from the monotony of codes and judicial opinions, this will be a long, hard winter. Thanks for running the contest, regardless!
  • “(W)hy you’d like to win.”

Two great actors in a direct to DVD sci-fi movie? What more could you want? Besides, Vic is da' man b/c he's an ardent ferrophile!

Why I would like to win:
Because I am the biggest Val Kilmer fan on Earth.
I literally own every single movie he has ever been in (that has been put out on DVD) with the exception of Played (it was just too bad) and Dead Man's Bounty (Do I really need to see him play a dead body?)
If you can name a movie I own it, and have seen it, I think he is one of the greatest talents ever, and sadly has been reduced to this type of cheese, but I will own it regardless.
And I love the fact that this has an old picture of him from like 8 years ago on the cover, and in the trailer he looks nothing like that, sadly. I would love to get a free copy, and can guarantee it will stay in my collection forever, alphabetically between, Heat and the Island of Dr. Moreau... what does that illustrate?
  • Aknot
My wife she is a big Val fan would be a nice gift I wouldn't have to buy... :D
  • I would like to win because I love to see ex-A-list movie actors who have fallen to the wayside and have had to resort to makeing C-grade movies to make ends meet.

Don't get me wrong: I don't wish these folks any ill-will. But it sure is fun and funny to see how low they have to stoop sometimes just to make a buck.
  • SpaceAce
I love me some Val Kilmer
  • Matt C.
I'd like to win because Val Kilmer is one of my favorite actors and this movie sounds like it would be very good. To me, Direct-to-DVD means nothing. I have seen a lot of Direct-to-DVD movies that are good (ex. Shade).
  • Morphina
I'd like to win this because I'm a Kilmer fan and I'm a fan of the cheese.
  • Wiredwizard
Me pass on cheesy sci-fi fun? No way! I'd have to give up my Bruce Campbell fan club pin & everything. =)
  • April
It looks like one of those movies that like you said could be a little cheesy but it also looks like it could have some enjoyable moments. It looks to have upsides and downsides being that you could finish watching it thinking it had potential while it could have moments of keeping you wondering how something is going to play out. All in all it looks like it would be worth a watch to see Val and Cuba together to see if their teaming works or if it will be a trainwreck.
