Chris Cornell was the singer in Soundgarden. “Spoonman”, yes; Casino Royale theme, can’t even remember it. This combo doesn’t do much for me, I have to admit.

At least they’re no longer sticking with the titles of the movies for their songs. I shudder at the thought of a song called “Quantam of Solace.”

“Another way to die?” Man that’s lame.

Why can’t they get Clay Aakin, Kelly Clarkson or even Hannah Montanna ????
Seriously the guy from the White Stripes and some rehab chick. Wtf??
(You win a grammy and Boom you singing the Bond song) poop! I say poop !!!!

I would love it if they got Hybrid to remix the classic theme or even Craig Armstrong…

These pop stars are poop stars too me.

wait back up 790.

This is Alicia Keys we’re talking about here. She’s one of the few newer artists that actually makes real music. Even Prince himself went out of his way to mention her as one of his favorites.

The woman can sing. Exceptionally at that.

Weeeeeeeellll.
Ok Brad,,,, is she the woman that sings that song, “want me to go to rehab and I say no no no”?

The White Strips are not my kind of music ether. What about that guy’s sister is she doing a tanborine or did he just tell her to stay home. (Who makes a band with their sister? Oh yeah Donnie and Marie) uuuuhhhhhg

Off the top of my tiny robot head ,,,,
I’d love to have, The Eurythmics, Hooverphonic, Meat Beat Manifesto, Mint Royale, Moby, Orbital, hell even the Pet Shop Boys over this crap,,,,

But hey I’m weird. ;-)

790: You are thinking of Amy Winehouse

From the songs I’ve heard, Alicia Keys is a very talented R&B singer,

Also, Meg White isn’t his sister. They were married at one point but got a divorce. [just to let you know]

I could get behind Moby or Meat Beat Manifesto doing a Bond theme.

Thanks Grant,,, Amy Winehouse, I’ll remember next time. ;-) Wine-house, she’s a boozer too how funny is that name.

(Stripes)
He married that girl, yikes..
Yeah I’ll tell ya never liked their (White Stripes) music one bit.

Wouldn’t a new James Bond, “Moby” theme be great!! He does cover the original theme on his album “I like to Score” but I’d love to hear a new one, maybe with Alicia Keyes ?? :-)

Yeah, when you said Moby that cover was the first thing that popped in my head. Him doing the theme would actually be really cool but I’m not sure if it would fly with everyone [however, what does now a days?].

I would just say, wait until it comes out. The song might be crap, but you might forget it by the end of the movie.

Moby’s still pretty popular, The X-Files series, used alot of his songs…

I think I stopped caring about the themes when Madonna did one.
^
Here’s my top 4, (all I remember) lol. ;-)
1_ Live and let die.
2_ No body does it better.

3_ For your eyes only.

4_ View to a Kill

I’m almost shocked that you don’t know of Chris Cornell. Anyone who has listened to Alternative or Rock music in the past 15 years has surely heard Soundgarden or Audioslave. Miami Vice (the movie) was full of Chris Cornell. The song was “You Know My Name”

Chris Cornell should sing the theme again. And how can you know Chris Cornell(Soundgarden,Audioslave,Temple of the dog and great solo work)? Where have you been living the past 15-20 years? in a cave?
