The CW is REALLY hurting for original programming, aren’t they? Melrose Place remade? 90210? Those shows were awful when they were on and now they’re remaking them? Hey CW, how about you find some writers who can create NEW ideas. Next thing you know, they’re going to recreate a show about a family living during the 50’s whose teenage son hangs out in a diner with a cool motorcycle greaser. IT’ll be called “Happy Days Again.”

SK47 says:

that is great for Burn Notice! Michael Westin rules!!!

Evie says:

Oh I was so happy to see Castle in the top 15! That show is so dang funny! I love Nathan!

Dollhouse did get very interesting I think. But I knew the neighbor was what we saw in the last episode, woot!

Aaron says:

I didn’t think much of Better of Ted during its initial commercial previews, but after seeing the show, I’m really loving what I’m seeing. Its got Pushing Daisy’s crazy wit, and Frasier’s 30 minute running time.

It’s a real shame it’ll likely get canceled, because as it stands, its my favorite show on TV right now.

INK says:

I was surprised at how few comedies are in there.
Do people not like to laugh anymore?
Or would they rather laugh at other peoples “realities” shows?

“Reality Shows” sicken me.

To ALL:

My list is not an absolute list of THE top X.

They’re shows I pulled out of the list to show here.

QUESTION TO ALL:

For ratings and what not, do you want to see more than what I’m pulling in?

In most cases, I’ve pulled out reality TV spots because they tend to dominate but I can make this a more comprehensive list.

LET ME KNOW GANG!

Evie says:

Well I was wondering where all the reality shows were (although I LOVE Hell’s Kitchen!). I’d like to see the rankings. Although you put the # of viewers in there, I don’t really know what that means as far as a show’s success, to be honest…

I try to put in millions because the googalie goop of number references other services use lose me….

Which, by the way, I’m thinking about doing a quick blurb on soon here on Screen Rant.

I just like the flat, right in your face references. IE: 20 mil watched singing while 2 mil watched BSG…

Keep in mind, these are live viewing numbers and don’t normally include time-shifted viewings.

Evie says:

Hey you know, I rarely watch a show in real time btw. I play World of Warcraft and a lot of my shows come on while I’m raiding, but I have a legion of shows DVRed… how do they measure that?

(I also ‘rewind live’ 15 mins after the show has started — a way of cheating the advertising but seeing it ‘first’ hah)

INK says:

@Bruce

Thanks for the clarification on that. I’m still learning to read. :)

INK – the power of reading can be frightening… take baby steps!

EVIE: They have delayed ratings, but then it gets pretty complicated…

I’ll see if I can get some info or what not on that later on.. but no promises…

I’m only so smart!!

Evie says:

Haha, I bet it gets complicated!

Too bad advertising can’t be done like it is on the Truman Show. Would make it easier to track viewership if we could get the shows VOD…

Dave says:

Just a clarification Idris Elba is a GUY – he played Stringer Bell on The Wire. Mentioned above as ‘her’

:-)

Ken J says:

Maybe Brian Austin Green just got tired of skank?

INK says:

@Ken

lol.

But seriously, Green is an idiot.

Ken J says:

Why? There are probably reasons for the split, or assumed split, than what we know about. Just because she’s “oh so hawt” on screen doesn’t mean she’s a good girlfriend or maybe they just had some personal problems, who knows. Either way, this should come as good news for all of you drooling fanboys of the skanky, I mean hot, Fox. lol. :-D

Ah I need to find a younger female celebrity to drool over than the ones I always end up looking at, lol.

Richard says:

I love TSCC *sniff*

Hmm, him, her… I’d like to say it was a typo… maybe blame the digital dog again… it was a stressful article to write because I had to compile it twice but still…

As far as Green and Fox, rumors say that after they got together, her popularity took off and she isn’t the same girl he started dating… but that’s just the gossip mill and you all know how those are… eh hem!

I’m happy Castle and Bones are doing good. It’s hard out here for a Whedon alum.

Paterick says:

I remember seeing Megan Fox on Two and A Half Men like a couple years ago. Chick was sooooo fine, but she was just some PYT that had jaws droppin. I guess she talks more now.
