I’m a big fan of the Holmes books and I think that the time is right for a new Holmes movie.

If it gets a few people reading the books then the film was worth while.

I think Russell Crowe would make a GREAT Moriarty! He was chilling in 3:10 to Yuma and proved he could play a ruthless bad guy. I also like RDJ as Holmes. This project really interests me.

Russell Crowe as Moriarty? Er, Romper Stomper + A Beautiful Mind?

I’m an incredibly big fan on Mr. Holmes (pre-Return) and the upcoming film just sounds more and more ridiculous. RDJ needs to stick to what he’s good at before he starts to ruin movies like a lot of washed up actors these days.

An action-oriented Holmes film? How would that work? On any level?

Lol Steven, yeah I think there’s like 5 cuts of Blade Runner already.
I recently picked up and watched the “Final Cut” and it was the best cut.

What was the prob with Harry Kim ???

McG remake Blade Runner?
Good job this site has a no swearing policy or this post would be nothing but!
If that ever comes to pass… I can’t even bear the thought.
Mind you, hasn’t Scott remade himself already, with the different versions?
Just no need for that.

Also Crowe as Moriarty? Surely you need someone much more devlish and cunning than him.

But I do hope T4 will be good. The only reason why I’m not completely against it is because they promised to stick to the source material. And by source, I mean the REAL source material set by James Cameron. And from what I hear, Cameron does seem to have some positive thoughts on this film and was even the one who referred Sam Worthington to McG. So hopefully that is a good sign. Unless he really hated working with Worthington and sent him to McG as a joke on him, lol.

I only believe in remakes if it’s of not-so-good movies that had a creative and otherwise promising story and premise that was ruined by other factors such as poor acting/directing or budget reasons. But remaking actual good movies, I don’t know about that.

I know you are sick of Batman, but the remaking of Batman was a great thing. Batman is a good character, and it’s unfortunate the last two Batman films prior to the remakes completely ruined it. Damn you George Clooney and Val Kilmer!! lol

Remaking the Bond franchise was good too. Not that Sean Connery and the others were not good, but there are just so many sequels that it was starting to get tired. To perfectly illustrate this just look at the Pierce Brosnan Bond films. Just terrible, well, except for Goldeneye, that was pretty decent. But the rest, they were just way too ridiculous and everything relied way too much on coincidence and gadgets.

But I heard rumors of a Red Dawn and Robocop remake, and now you’re talking about a Blade Runner remake… Come on, you can’t remake those, they are classics!!

There calling this the worst weekend for movies in 7 years. Lol,,,

Ghost Rider 2 would pull down more than 8mil. Looks like another stupid film takes it in the BO!
Keep on greenlighting crap films Hollywood. Nice work !!!!!

Sherlock Holmes,,,
will be something I avoid like the time when my friend invited me to take a trip in his time machine back to 1709. (Who gives a crap!??). Good thing Crowe is in it, I won’t see it for sure. Can’t believe RDJ is wasting his talent on such a tired story, and character.
